Borjomi is always wonderful, but I especially love it in autumn (September–November). We’ve been going there for the fifth year, and every time we want to come back again and again. This year, the town has become even cleaner, cozier, and overall more refreshed. I recommend it to everyone who loves crystal-clear air, fluffy mountains, and endless forest walks. The town itself isn't much to write home about, but has all the facilities needed. The castle is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. Beautifully restored with fantastic photo ops. Vardzia completely exceeded my expectations. This incredible cave monastery carved into the cliffs of southern Georgia is not only visually stunning but also rich in history and spiritual energy. Walking through the complex feels like stepping back in time. From narrow tunnels to ancient chapels and breathtaking panoramic views over the valley, every corner tells a story. The scale of the site is impressive, and it’s hard to believe it was built in the 12th century! I also appreciated how well-maintained and accessible the site is. There are signs, pathways, and spots to stop and take in the landscape. If you’re into history, architecture, or just want to experience something truly unique, Vardzia is absolutely worth a visit. We wandered through forest trails, listened to the mountain river, and explored an abandoned railway. There's a lot to see in the fortress although it has been quite heavily restored with some totally new buildings. Nothing else in Akhaltsikhe itself but it's a good base for Varzia cave city and Sapara Monastery - always best to arrive early everywhere and you often have the place to yourself (not Varzia, too popular).
