- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 140 reviewsThe hotel staff was amazing. They helped us to find trips, hikes and hidden beaches we could experience. They were very helpful with everything, and was always nice and friendly to talk to. The cleaning personelle was exceptionally great (never experiences anything like that before). The food in Vigla Resturant was so good that we had to spend 2/3 evenings eating there (Moussaka recommend, recommend), and the view from the restaurant/hotel was beautiful. The pool area is super relaxing and nice, and the athmosphere in general was very relaxing and soothing. Thank you so much. We will be back. (and it doesn't matter that it is a bit away from the city center, you will not regret Vigla).Guest review byKristine ElisabethNorway
- From US$92.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 198 reviewsEverything. Our room was fabulous, and the bathrooms have recently been renovated so that was a lovely surprise. The lady running the hotel speaks excellent French and English and treats you like family, she even sat down with us on the first day with a big map and explained all the best spots. The breakfast is delicious with lots of food from their garden and homemade cakes. The location is perfect with a huge free car park nearby if you rent a car and great restaurants at the foot of the door. When we come back we will 100 percent stay here again, thank you Joanna!Guest review byChloeFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 506 reviewsPelagos is the best possible home away from home while in Amorgos! Sofias and her team guarantee a great stay for their guests - the nicest people whom you can trust to make your time on the island unforgettable. The room had a great view over the sea, and was super clean and up to date. Next time I'll be in Amorgos, I need not to ponder over where to book - Pelagos should be everyone's first choice of accommodation!Guest review byMikaFinland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 670 reviewsWhat we liked: the location; it's close to all the restaurants, shops, hiking trails and beaches in Agiali. Agiali is definitely the prettiest place on the Island. Stavroula, the host, was just só friendly and helpful, as well as the woman who made sure everything was nice, clean and tidy (unfortunately I don't have her name). It's definitely value for money.Guest review byHansIreland

The house was perfectly suited for our family of 5 - having both a communal space inside as well as a lovely deck overlooking the port. The house had everything we needed and the added extra of fresh towels was great!Guest review byKatySouth Africa

This is in my opinion the best location for a stay in Amorgos. The village has everything you need including a lovely sandy beach, great selection of bars and restaurants and a good mix of accommodation. Great walking can be had in the hills behind, exploring villages and amazing views. You can get a ferry direct to the port, but it depends which company you go with. Many only drop in Katapola in which case you will need to get a bus/taxi or hire a car. The island is in fact very long, so a car is a good idea in any caseGuest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10

Walking distance to the port, restaurants, car rental, and a beach. There is a bus that runs sparingly around the island. However, if you want to be adventurous and find historical sites, amazing little towns and hit up the remote nude beaches, you will need a car. In October I paid €60 cash to rent a car for three days. No deposit, no insurance… just a hand shake. It felt like stepping back in time.Guest review byWhats App OnlyUnited States - 10

Wonderful place with little tourists, amazing views on the sea, authentic food and atmosphere. Never felt so agreeably remote from modern life, without any compromise on comfort at the places we stayed. However be prepared for the bad roads and the poor direction indications - have your GPS ready.Guest review byDavidSwitzerland - 10
This was an adorable little town.
This was an adorable little town. There was a little shopping (like a few stores) and some great restaurants. The area is not too touristy. Our kids met up with the local kids every night to play soccer and that absolutely made the trip fantastic for all of us. What a special memory. 2-3 nights here is fine.Guest review byJenniferUnited States - 10
Great beaches and a hillwalkers paradise.
Great beaches and a hillwalkers paradise. Around Aegiali there is a coastal trail to several beaches, there are trails to two nearby mountain villages which are connected by another trail between them, one has a trail to a high mountain church which could be difficult for vertigo sufferers. There is another longer trail running down the spine of the island which I intend to go back and do. Beach photo taken from taverna at Lebressos, Aegiali port in distance. Other two are Stavros church high on Krikellos and section of path to get there.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 10

We really enjoyed our time in Aegiali.
We really enjoyed our time in Aegiali. We had a great place to stay in with amazing views of the water and sunsets. The beach is very close as are the hiking trails. So many great restaurants in Aegiali. We also really appreciated that it was peaceful and everyone was friendly. Many come here to hike the trails and we took advantage of this exploring the surrounding villages.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10

if you think Santorini is a bit busy and crowded then head to this island for a bit of the feel of how Greece was 30 years ago With excellent restaurants and secluded beaches ( but you are going to need to hire a car or motorbike although the distances you travel a short , from Katapola to far north 30 min and to the far south 30 min and some of the most spectacular drives you will experience anywhereGuest review byPeterAustralia
