- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 131 reviewsClose to everything, Maistrali are two nice looking traditionally rendered blocks of budget studios, located in a quiet dead end laneway back two streets from the beach front. It's a great place as you can pop back to your studio to have a snack or a nap, then return refreshed to the beach or one of the lovely shops or to the many places to eat. The communal grassed area is well kept, with a shaded outdoor seating area, good location to watch children playing. Our studio had views towards the water and hillside, was tidy and clean, had a good size fridge, functional bathroom and air-conditioner to budget standard. Were able to sleep often without air conditioning at night as the valley has a natural cool breeze this time of year. Perfect.Guest review bymariaAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 204 reviewsWe are on a 3 month trip and we were looking for a break from constantly travelling and the Edem Suites was absolutely perfect for us. Traveling as a couple we opted for a little more space and had a huge balcony. Dimitris is the perfect host, we were impressed that he contacted us the day before to say our room would be ready early if we wanted to check in early, this was ideal as we had taken an early ferry from Athens. He also helped us with arranging car hire, he is endlessly cheerful and always on hand to offer advice. The bus from the ferry stops nearby and is a 5 minute walk. We travelled the island and feel that Chora is the perfect place to stay and Edem Suites is ideal accommodation. Thanks for a great stay.Guest review byMichelleNew Zealand
- From $149.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 473 reviewsDespite the resort being empty (off-season travel!), the staff were extremely nice in providing breakfast every morning just for us. The pool services were open until 10.30pm and we could also get coffee/beer and sandwiches if needed. We got many recommendations on places to visit, to eat etc. The houses have either a sea view (a real one!) or a garden view, we had one with a sea view and it was beautiful! Clean, big rooms and comfortable beds and sofa. Good channel selection on TV and overall could be a place for a great staycation too :)Guest review byDivyaGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 76 reviewsEverything was absolutely wonderful! 😁 The room was very clean, and the staff always had a smile on their faces and were ready to help with anything we needed — from giving us tips on where to go, to providing anything extra we might need in the room. Great location, and the cherry on top was the amazing pool and the relaxation it offered. I definitely recommend it and will visit it again.Guest review byMariaGreece
- From $104.28 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 116 reviewsGood value of room with private bathroom and breakfast. A short walk to a simple beautiful beach. In June to September the heat can be too much for the elderly 70+. Stay under a shade. Best restaurants are in nearby Gavrio and Batsi. The cafe around the corner has delicious tyropita and spanakopita.Guest review byPhilipUnited States

We lived near Batsi for 31 years.
We lived near Batsi for 31 years. It is a lovely little village with some very good tavernas and cafes, although there are now far too many cocktail bars. Andros island is lovely with excellent beaches and hiking trails but avoid August when the island almost sinks under the weight of thousands of visitors, mainly from Athens. Generally speaking, the island has managed to remain unspoilt by excessive tourism. The local people are very friendly and welcoming.Guest review byGrahamGreece - 10.0
Great hiking island!
Great hiking island! From Chora- Andros some fantastic hiking routes starts. The hiking routes are very well maintained. Baches are near by for swimming. Sunset and sundown are spectaluar. You will get superfit as there are stairs, stairs stairs in each town and also on some of the hiking pathsGuest review byPetraGermany - 6.0
We were there in May so not quite season.
We were there in May so not quite season. It’s very small but served as a good base to visit the island. Some good tavernas. Bit nothing else to do there. Not a beach nearby that is nice for swimming or tanning so would probably recommend Batsi over Gavrio.Guest review byChristineNamibia - 10.0

This is an ideal place if you don't like to be in the capital city with a lot of noise and traffic. You are far enough from the street and have your own peace and quiet, and at the same time you are very close to the city where there is entertainment and an active nightlife. Everything you need is in the area, restaurants, shops, beaches etcGuest review byMiroslav PetrovicSerbia - 10.0

This is an amazing natural beach, some parts are sandy and others with small white pebbles. Not a lot of people around on the time of my visit (June). The surrounding landscape is beautiful. There is a small tavern above the beach.Guest review byMichael PapaioannouGreece - 10.0

Amazing stay, wonderful host! Value for money! The view of the sea was absolutely breathtaking, and I loved relaxing by the swimming pool every afternoon. Areti, the hostess, made the whole experience unforgettable ! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Andros!Guest review byLeda - 10.0
Batsi is a lovely little town in Andros.
Batsi is a lovely little town in Andros. Beach was right across the road and one of our favorite places to have dinner was right downstairs called Mastello. There are 2 bakery shops and the bread smells amazing. There are lots of different restaurants, so you could try a different one every night. The Ktel bus service is pretty good and on time from Gavrio the port. You could visit Chora the capital of Andros, which is about 30mins by bus. It has lots of shops and tavern for coffee, pita yeeros and of course some greek ouzo with ice.Guest review byMariaAustralia - 4.0
Not a hospitable island!
Not a hospitable island! Third class and expensive facilities. Most of the locals are rude and it seems that they do not like visitors! If you want to visit Greece there are at least 100 beautiful islands and places to visit . This was the worst experience that I had in Greece and I feel ashamed that these guys claim to be Greeks Greeks are very friendly people ! Most of the islands even if they are small offer very good facilities! Do not waste your money and time in Andros . Concluding I would like to mention that I was very Impressed by the “Skalakia “ restaurant in chora! Excellent food and service. Mrs Maria was extremely friendly and professional. Make sure you reserve a table ahead of time.Guest review byHelenUnited States - 8.0

This destination is delightful, offering a wide array of culinary options. The local cheeses are exceptional, and you'll discover restaurants that cater to both casual diners and those seeking a more upscale experience. The ambiance is tranquil, making it an ideal retreat. Renting a car is advisable to fully explore the island’s beauty. While September may be slightly cooler, it also offers a more serene atmosphere.Guest review byMelissaIreland - 10.0

Agios Pertos is perfectly situated close to the main port but also in a quiet location. The local beach is lovely, sandy with clear waters. There is a local bakery but no mini-market. There are 3 local restaurants, a pizza place (run by a Canadian Greek) that makes amazing greek salads, a tasty souvlaki place and Giannoulis, the best fish taverna that we visited (of course it also serves meat and vegetarian dishes).Guest review byellieUnited Kingdom
