- The owners and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. - The hotel was small, no more than 10 visitor rooms if I remember correctly, so it was pretty quiet, and all the interactions were more personalized and authentic. - The recommendations we received on what to visit were spot on and made our trip even more beautiful. - They even went out of their way and assisted me in planning a special reservation for our anniversary night and cooked a different breakfast the next morning since my girlfriend is lactose intolerant. I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is excellent – in a quiet and peaceful area, yet very convenient. Parking was easy, which was a big plus. The staff were very polite and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. Right from the hotel starts a beautiful coastal walkway, perfect for a relaxing stroll all the way to the monastery. It was one of the highlights of my stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a calm and comfortable stay in a lovely setting.

Pretty place, but be aware you can't swim in the lake.

Pretty place, but be aware you can't swim in the lake. Things to do - Boat trip around the lake and the caves are lovely and so was walking around the town and seeing the old buildings. The drive around the lake was wonderful and the trees formed a canopy so also very cool. You can also walk the whole route but might take a couple of hours and no designated pavement. We climbed the mountain path behind the monastery, but be warned it is steep and hard work in places, but the views are amazing. However, if you want the same views, drive up the road to the hospital and keep going as when I arrived after my 45 minute climb I can upon the road and it will take you to the peak (I think). Parts of the town are quite hilly and walking shoes or trainers needed in these parts, but you can probably avoid these areas if you wanted to.

It was better than expected.The swimming pool was very clean and as it was not crowded I enjoyed it a lot.The room,staff,breakfast were fine for us as well as the room facilities.We visited late August,so it was quiet.The garden ,so well cared and enjoying a coffee under the trees is an experience.

Kastoria on the lake is very scenic.

Kastoria on the lake is very scenic. If you want to see a different view of Greeece away from the intensity of Athens I would recommend visiting Kastoria. We also took the opportunity to visit Korce, Albania which we thoroughly enjoyed.
