The hotel is renovated, clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and equipped with air conditioning (unnecessary) and TV that we never used. :) Where should I start? The food is delicious, there is plethora of seafood everyday (salmon, octopus, swordfish, dorada, shark...). The service is amazing, everyone is kind and helpful. The hotel is pet friendly which is a BIG plus! And above all, if you want to be relaxed, you are at the right place. The nature here, the beaches, the warm and peaceful sea, kind people, plenty of cool beach bars makes you feel like you are in heaven. It is literally placed in front of the hotel. We loved the pool and kids activities. The animators were really doing their best to make the trip memorable for our daughter, so we could all enjoy it. There was a quiz and lovely live music in the evenings. The food was very delicious and there was plenty of choice for everyone. Podstrana is lovely little area with a couple of restaurants on the beach walk. You really need a hire car if you want to more than stay on the beach all day every day. We visited KIRKA National Park, Skradin, Trogir, Zadar and Split itself all of which I would definitely recommend visiting we did all this in a week and it just about right.Guest review byMADDOGUnited Kingdom - 10

We loved Bol, it was a lovely resort with plenty of restaurants, great walks and beaches and it had a friendly, laid-back vibe with people of all ages. Zlatni Rat beach was lovely and when we were there it wasn't overly busy and although clearly set up for tourists they seem to have kept the balance just about right (although the sun beds and shades are ridiculously expensive at 39 euros per day for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella), needless to say we didn't bother. The walk along the promenade to Zlatni Rat was gorgeous with lots to interest from interesting villas, bars, tourist gift stalls, sculptures and the tree cover made it shady and attractive. Equally the walk into town and the harbour and then further along to the monastery was also interesting and always something different to see. Food and drink is not cheap sadly but most of the meals we had were really good quality - for a special meal try Boket 78, our most expensive meal but the flavours were amazing. I had the lamb and it was one of the best meals I've ever had, hubby had the black risotto and he said it was full of flavour too. Also the vegan restaurant Biomania was lovely. Crystal clear water and you can see straight to the bottom even when it’s deep. The water is so clean it’s almost unreal, like swimming in a giant natural pool. If you love pristine beaches and amazing water quality, this place is absolutely worth it. The only downsides are that getting into the water can be a bit tricky since it’s rocky rather than sandy beaches. Makarska Riviera is a beautiful destination.
Makarska Riviera is a beautiful destination. Croatian government removed the tool boot fee from the Saint Ilija tunnel and travelers can shorten their travel into the mountains and back significantly and save some money. You have different restaurants so you can pick what you like the most. It is easy to navigate around Tucepi and visit other spots. Sport activities are heavily affected by heat but you always have the swimming and other activities, like boating, parachute gliding and such.
