We recently spent approximately a week at Wide Sands Retreat Medewi. First and foremost, we must commend the staff for their exceptional kindness and hospitality. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. The bungalow we stayed in was undeniably adorable, offering ample space for relaxation. The highlight was undoubtedly the semi-open bathroom, complete with a shower made from beautifully crafted stone and a rejuvenating bathtub. This unique bathroom design added a touch of luxury to our stay. Wide Sands Retreat Medewi has clearly been meticulously taken care of, with the front beach standing out for its cleanliness and pristine condition compared to the rest of the shore. It was a serene place to unwind and enjoy the ocean. However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. The area surrounding the resort is relatively quiet, with a few older and somewhat decadent resorts with bars nearby. Walking along the shore is advisable, as the streets are not easily walkable. Additionally, due to the lush green surroundings and the semi-open bathroom, it's essential to expect some bugs and ants in your room. This is a trade-off for the beautiful natural setting. Regarding the dining experience, the food was okay, but it could use some additional seasoning or at least salt and pepper available on the table to enhance flavors.

Muklis and the crew are the best! We stayed for a week and we can’t wait to visit next time. The surf coaching and video analysis were amazing- they know what they’re doing, gave valuable feedback, and the waves were so good. They are also some of the nicest and kindest people you’ll meet. The house was clean and it was a great place to hangout and meet other like-minded surfers and travelers. Overall vibe was great, would 1000% recommend!

The staff was amazing, so friendly but also very helpful and responsive before we even arrived. They answered all my questions ahead of time and set up transportation. Every time we passed through the lobby, the staff gave us full attention. We enjoyed everyone there, especially Mira and Jeoffry who was our surf instructor. The servers in the restaurant were equally attentive. The manager on duty came and talked to us a few times to see how we were doing. We especially enjoyed the pools!

- great hotel in a huge palm garden next to the ocean - nice pool - we enjoyed our beach walks - also possible to swim, but waves and current are rather strong - great restaurant - very nice service - highly recommended for people who like lonely beaches and good food
