Amazing location, great sunset views over the water, a little outside of the main centre but worth it for the views and its easy to get a Grab moto to the main strip of restaurants or the staff can organise delivery for you.
Room was huge and very comfortable and clean.
Staff were friendly and helpful, arranged tours and snorkelling gear for us, packed lunches, even provided us with a kettle so we could make our own coffee in the morning.
Featuring barbecue facilities, shared lounge and views of sea, ORA KOMODO HOME STAY is situated in Komodo, 1.9 km from Pink Beach.

This is a homestay with the one of the local people of Komodo village, who is also a Komodo park ranger. It is not a hotel and does not at all have western standards or facilities, so it is not possible to review as a hotel.
The reason to go here is that it provides a base for a more genuine experience of the Komodo park than going on the speedboats. The owner Jeki can organize tours with the same itinerary (dragon treks, Padar Island, snorkeling and so on) but with just yourself and your company where you will have peace and quiet and lots of time to do whatever you want, not being surrounded by 50 other people. You will get there by fishing boat, and the local people of Komodo of course are the best at knowing all about the area and where all the animals can be found, I saw lots of dragons, mantas and turtles. I was warmly welcomed and got to eat home cooked delicious Indonesian food. My bedroom was on the top floor, had a fan and was sea front with beautiful view, I could sit on the balcony and watch the sunset. The bathroom was downstairs and shared with the family. There is wifi although the signal is unreliable.
To get here you can either take the public local ferry or arrange with Jeki to pick you up at the airport and go by fishing boat, as I did. My journey took about 3-3,5 hours one way. Jeki is easily contacted on his WhatsApp.
It was all a great adventure and a more authentic Komodo trip than I otherwise would have had.

Great host, guide and a very intelligent and attentive person. Honest, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The best part of the home stay is that you can tailor your stay according to your needs and liking. Khulna is always there to help you and meet your needs. He also called me weeks before our arrival and sent all the pricing sharing his advice and suggestions. We saw many Komodo Dragons, fish, mantas and had great times every day. It was very hard to leave. We enjoyed the stay very much and will be back very soon!!!
Komodo Resort is located on Sebayur Island bordering Komodo National Park, an hour’s boat ride from the Komodo Dragon Tour on Rinca Island.

We stayed for 2 weeks and had a great time!
Staff are very welcoming and polite. Food was also excellent. Our bungalow with panorama sea view window was beautiful and clean, with mosquito net installed for the bed.
We went for a total of 17 dives with the dive center. They are professionally run and very safety concious. Both the manager and the guides went out of their way to meet all of our wishes. Marine wildlife in Komodo is world class and never disappointed. We warmly recommend staying and diving here!

Georgio was great at communication all the way through our stay. He acted as our guide to see Komodo Dragons and the surrounding Islands, which was an amazing experience. Georgio was very knowledgeable on the Dragons and his family was very hospitable. If you want an authentic experience then this is for you.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The family who hosted us was very kind and helped arrange a local boat to take us to different beaches and snorkeling spots that were absolutely gorgeous (like manta point and pink beach). The host is a ranger at Komodo National Park and gave us a wonderful tour. It was very special to stay in the Muslim village on the sea and have a glimpse of life there. Everyone was very friendly and warm.

Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.
