- From $157.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,177 reviewsEVERYTHING was amazing. Robert at reception took such excellent care of me when I wasn’t able to stay at the hotel I had planned in Galway and needed to come two days early. It was such a great welcome after a very long day of driving, and I found the room was clean, huge, warm in the cold and with a lovely view. Bathroom was spotless, bed was comfy, and the restaurant on the main floor is excellent. SO delicious. The view from LuSeas on the top floor is wonderful, and the breakfast included with stay is amazing. Every staff member I interacted with, from the hospitality staff to the front desk to the porters was friendly and helpful. I even had a massage at the spa from Kashia, and it was amazing!! Westport itself is a sweet little town. Went to Mass at the local parish and it was reverently celebrated and beautiful. Westport is a very easy jumping block to go to so many other places- Knock shrine, Galway, Achill island, and much more. I have NO hesitations in recommending it to anyone!!Guest review byElissa ErinCanada
- From $139.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,768 reviewsA lovely hotel with welcoming warm staff, and a great atmosphere in the bar. Clearly the locals like this place as Saturday night was a cheerful affair with the mix of them, visitors like us and a wedding in the private function room. Our food in the bar was filling and tasty, in fact we had to take half away with us as the portions were so generous! Our room was airy and warm with adjustable heating. Free parking overlooking the bay. Breakfast was a fresh buffet with cooked food and cold food (fruits, cereals etc). Perfect visit, thanks everyone.Guest review byKellyUnited Kingdom
- From $125.33 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,064 reviewsThe full Irish breakfast was really full and the Eggs Benedict was special. Room was well equipped and extremely comfortable. Curry at dinner was really good. Reception and Bar Waiting Staff are really exceptional for advice on local walks, impromptu glasses repairs and general friendliness. The warm friendly bar waiting staff blew others out of the water. Andrew at the Leisure centre was welcoming and helpful. Great music and a little dance in the bar Saturday evening was a surprise bonus.Guest review byJohnIreland

we almost didnt think of traveling this far north, but Westport is well worth the drive. A special treat was the Westport House and grounds, which were in walking distance of the property. It is a charming city surrounded by mountains of Connemara National ParkGuest review byThomasUnited States - 6.0
Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The National Museum of Ireland is just a few minutes drive away. Castlebar is ideally located for exploring County Mayo. The local library is excellent too with very friendly helpful staff who were only too willing to help with a little family history enquiry. We only stayed for one night and had our main meal in Lana, an Asian restaurant. The food was lovely and plentiful. So much so, we didn't bother with breakfast the following day.Guest review byGeorgeUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Ballina is like most towns or cities now.
Ballina is like most towns or cities now. Outside influences are starting to take hold. The addition of some of the fast food shops and multiple barbers is a manifestation I find worrying. The old charm of the town is not what it was.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

There are lovely forest paths behind Cong Abbey that we enjoyed. It was fun to go into the pub/restaurant that was used in the old movie The Quiet Man. A lot of it was filmed in Cong. We really enjoyed John Burke’s Restaurant in nearby Clonbur. It was recommended by our host!Guest review byCarolynUnited States - 10

Claremorris is a lovely town, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to visit. It's an excellent base for visiting Galway City and also Co Galway, Co Mayo and Knock Shrine (a must). Only half an hour drive from Ireland West Airport. Loved staying at the McWilliam Park Hotel.Guest review byPatriciaUnited Kingdom - 10

Belmullet is a small town but has everything you need. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and it is ideal for a break away. The tidal pool is really nice for a swim and there are some really lovely long sandy beaches within a few miles of the townGuest review byJoanIreland - 10
Mulranny is so central to North South East and West Mayo.
Mulranny is so central to North South East and West Mayo. We visited Achill, did Croagh Patrick and cycled the Greenway. Mulranny itself is so beautiful with lovely walkways and excellent beaches for swimming. Had a local shop well supplied and two main Bars with entertainment on the Saturday night. Westport and Newport are well worth visiting and there is so much more we did not get around to doing.Guest review byPatriciaIreland - 10
The parkrun on the greenway was lovely.
The parkrun on the greenway was lovely. We did a boat trip with seascape safaris - around the nearby islands and saw birds, seals, dolphins etc. Lots of lovely beaches, some historical monuments and several information boards at various locations around the island supplying local history. Surprising good food. We lunched , then the next day caked at , I think it was called An Dun - gorgeous food and amazing views of Sliabh Mór. We had dinner 3 nights, each hotel and Teds. All very good though my personal favourite was Teds. I would happily go back for another visit - beautiful location for walking, running, swimming or generally relaxingGuest review byLauraIreland - 10

Knock is a very beautiful place, you can walk around the shrine and museum at your own pace. Anyone can take time to reflect and say a prayer. I learnt a lot about fr Horan who had so much hope and a incredible experience to get things done. Knock is irelands very own Lourdes, but less expensive.Guest review byHannon - 10

I'd only really heard of it as the home town of the wonderful Panti Bliss aka Rory O'Neill. I don't know who should be more proud of whom. (Balinrobe of Rory or vice versa.) Fantastic place and I'll be back to explore more. Devour Bakery does the best breakfast (Eggs Benedict) and the service was exceptional. Staff so kind and professional and customers all seem to know everyone. A Happy place indeed.Guest review byWillIreland
