Om Sai Beach Huts is truly the best beach stay I have ever experienced! The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, and the warm hospitality makes it a memorable place. The cottages are beautifully designed, clean, and offer stunning views, being located right on the beach. Waking up to the sound of the waves. It’s the perfect getaway for relaxation and rejuvenation. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene beach escape!

The rooms were very clean and big. Had and amazing stay. They have a very beautiful restaurant lounge and bar and the food is also so tasty. Swimming pool was open 24*7. Staff was very co operative and housekeeping was amazing. Two beaches are nearby ashvem and morjim. The hotel is situated on road and has a very big parking space which I liked so much. If you want the true experience, how many Goans lived back in the day this is a perfect example. The house is beautifully restored with a touch of modern vibe. I mean the nostalgia waking up here was as if I was at my grandmas place expect; now there is wifi, AC and hot running water that is not boiled on fire lol. The hospitality of the staff was incredible I don't recollect their names but you know who you are. Just a note, I loved waking up to the sound of the birds chirping but if you're like my wife (a light sleeper) that could be annoying.

Hidden Gem on the West Coast of India

Located along India's west coast and overlooking the Arabian Sea is Goa. With its rich history and a mix of Indian and Portuguese culture, Goa is a hidden gem filled with culture, vast protected forest areas and gorgeous beaches.

There are many charming and characteristic villages scattered across the entire region. Varca, Calangute and Candolim have numerous restaurants and bars, and are home to some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts in Goa. Top that off with the picture-perfect beaches of Blue Whale and Agonda Beach, Goa is a perfect destination for travelers seeking relaxation, culture, history, and exotic seafood and vegetarian cuisine.   On the banks of the River Sal lies the historical and cultural city of Margao, offering sights such as Anna Fonte, Damodar Temple, and the Municipal Garden. Walk through the streets whilst taking in the infusion of fresh seafood, local specialty curry dishes, and spices wafting from the popular fish market.

Tourists, pilgrims and locals residing in other states flock to Goa to celebrate festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi and Carnival. The distinctive 16th-century Catholic churches, Hindu shrines, Baga Night Market, and Anjuna Flea Market are also popular places to visit. Enjoy local cuisine and then buy a bargain!

There is only 1 airport in Goa, the Dabolim International Airport which is located in Vasco da Gama. Booking.com offers a variety of accommodation options throughout the entire region.

Candolim is a nice place with good options with restaurants n cafe. One bad experience was the parking people were too rude as they do not take online payment and if u dont have handy cash they will treat rudely. Rest the shacks the beach is good. Shopping options are there. PLease check reaturants menu before entering some famous places like tomotoes are a bit over priced. Also while shopping on beach lanes check places and options like all in Rs 50 or 100. it will save your money. Please carry chnage cash particulary for parking. Rest all was good.

Cluster of 3 beaches with relatively clean beaches. A little dull to be honest. Roads around palolem are a little crowded and narrow. Not much activity besides beach walks and a few shacks. Locals seemed to be a little unfriendly as compared to North Goa.

It is not easy to get around Anjuna, everything is very spread out and at night the wild dogs are quite agressive which I struggled with. I enjoy walking, but here you need to have a car / scooter or take lots of taxis. The market was good, we ate in nice restaurants like The Tanjore Tiffin (a bit more up market and we loved it), MS Slow Tide and Pirates Cafe on the beach. We also had a night out in Juna nightclub - good fun with great cocktails. Overall I didn't like Anjuna much, we were there in the low season and we struggled with getting around and all the dogs. It really depends what you're looking for, but for me Candolim was a better location and we left Anjuna early to return there.
