FranceIt was my best stay in Kerala! the house is lovely in front of the beach, the rooms are really comfortable with everything needed and there is a rooftop overlooking the ocean. the breakfast is also very varied and delicious! WiFi connection is really good!
Sajeev and his sons were amazing during my solo stay! they helped me renting à bicycle, informed me where to watch the fishermen, they helped me with Ayurveda massage (you get a discount thanks to them) and yoga classes and the most amazing thing was that Sajeev’s wife came to teach me Keralan cooking one night! they even invited me the next day for breakfast and to learn the lunch preparation :) it was such a unique experience with this family!! Thank you again for everything, it was wonderful!!
My only suggestion would be to change the WiFi password (private joke)!

IndiaBooked 2 rooms for 2 nights and the service was amazing. Proactive follow ups and the hosts were genuinely caring. We checked in very late in the night but the hosts were very cooperative and stayed up late to welcome our family. They also woke up early in the morning to attend to our needs. Rooms were very big, clean and had all the necessary amenities.
One small feedback would be to improve the WiFi and upgrade the plug points in the room for international guests.
I wish Deepu and Anu all the best. I’m sure they will continue to do a bang up job in welcoming thousands of more guests in the coming future.

PolandI loved absolutely everything about the experience. The service was exceptional, Both Hosts and People working at the Vala House are super kind and going their way and beyond to accomodate the needs of the guests. The place is located in beautiful place, with the view on backwaters, very clean and the food is truly amazing. Whenever we had any issue with transport or anything, they helped us to solve them immediately. Beautiful place to regenerate and enjoy the nature.

After reading many reviews for resorts and hotels in the area, it felt like whatever you picked was a gamble. Well we came out on top with this place. The staff was so kind and were so attentive and helpful. Breakfast was great! They gave us advise and directions, organized a pick up from the airport, got us a tuk tuk when needed. We even played the game under the breakfast tables with the staff one afternoon, it was a lot of fun. I stayed there with my mom, we were doing a mini beach vacay for my birthday. We also went to Waves Café down the road for dinner and that was also awesome. We stayed in the building that had rooms, not in the cabins. We had no trouble with mosquitoes, or any other critters. There were a couple of super cute geckos sometimes (that my mom did not like), but we called the staff and they came and got them out. :) Thanks so much for everything!Guest review bynatashaCanada

The hotel was a newish building, it was clean, spacious and everything worked. Room cleaning was available every day. It had a pool, which we regularly used. Staff were lovely. Restaurant food was really nice. The room had a safe. Shower was good. It had two comfortable armchairs in the room. You can book transport via the front desk. It's not yet very well developed. It's a narrow spit of land with the sea on one side and the lake on the other. There are some restaurants facing the beach seemingly catering for tourists. A beautiful property. Only one thing that annoyed me was a bar lounge was on the premises ground and drunkards were loitering around. Secondly, there is an open ground on the side of the approach road where people were often found peeing, and throwing wastes. A humble suggestion to take care of both the above. Excellent location, right opposite the beach. welcoming owners, nice gardens and pool. Tried sitting on the poolside but too many mosquitoes. Water in shower not warm. Mosquitoes in room as we didn't have a plug in. Breakfast was OK but not organised properly. The restaurant down the road was very good.
