- From $132.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.3Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 81 reviewsOk so we booked The Corvino resourt centrally to Monopoli so we could tour La Puglia on our motorcycles. In this respect its an ideal location but otherwise its a 15 minute drive to the old town centre of Monopoli. On the other hand Pongiana al Mare, Ostuno, Locorotunda, Alberobello, Lecce and Matera are all the nice idylic old towns easily accessible by driving from the Corvino. The old town of Monopoli is quite amazing with its imposing 'Duomo' cathedral and big square full of restaurants and brasseries, even a great Japanese restaurant there too offering great Sushi! The Via Garibaldi below this square is also adorned with boutique shops for shopping the known fashion names too. Its parking facilities are fantastic with 24/7 security guard watch which is exactly why we booked the Corvino as we wanted secure parking for our classic motorcycles! They, the Security staff, Ormando and the rest are very nice and helpful and we enjoyed talking to them as we went in and out of this resort, they even organised our taxies for us too!! The bedroom was a bit small but clean, bathroom was fine too if you don't mind hitting your elbows on the shower's glass doors as you shower ;) Unfortunately they gave us a room which was way too far away from the reception and restaurant in the resort. Conversely we were very close to the beach and their Lido, which in September was closed down!! Most of the facilities at the Corvino had closed down by now, no pizzeria too... this is endemic to Italy in general as after their 'ferroagusto' month long national holiday everything starts to close down anyway. The Lido Bar was supposed to be open but I think only short hours during the day. The in house restaurant served us Breakfast and dinner on a buffet self-service which was plentiful and the food was generally quite good too! The hotel Staff were very nice and courteous to us and Alessandro helped us in every way too.Guest review byRaymondMalta
- From $81.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 456 reviewsIt has been a nice place in the middle of the countryside, a large area actually divided into two buildings. One building was a restaurant and grocery store where you could buy some probably homemade jams, salami, cheeses, etc. A little further away was the other building where there was a B&B and factory that you could perhaps go in and look around, but I didn't. The room was nice, reasonable, comfortable beds, large bathroom and an outside walkway so it was nice to be able to go out and not feel trapped with only windows. Wifi worked well. The staff was very nice and helpful. The downside was that it was relatively cold inside, probably central A/C and it couldn't be regulated in the room. But there were warm blankets so I didn't freeze at night anyway. The other downside was that although there was a dining room in this building, breakfast was still served in the first building and it was a bit of a walk. I had to take the car as I am after leg surgery and have a bit of difficulty walking. So the place is not very suitable for a person with reduced mobility. The breakfast was good and there was also salami and cheeses, not just pastries. There was also a restaurant so you could have dinner or lunch and refreshments so that was nice. As I said it was a nice place, a real agricultural place and a lot to do around as there was a forest too with different activities so it might be nice to stay there for a couple of days and explore a bit.Guest review byMichaelaSweden
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 499 reviewsClearly the best hotel to stay when visiting Monopoli. Well run by friendly, professional staff who are all most helpful. Location is great, wonderful seaside walk to the heart of the old town. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Thank you to all the ladies at the front office as well as the gentleman who took care of our car and luggage - for outstanding service.Guest review byKurtSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,931 reviewsThe location is fabulous. Being able to stay in the historic zone, walking distance to all the sights and restaurants was just amazing. The trulli house is just the right size, equipped with all you require and surprisingly very warm in winter time. We had the heating switched off most of the time. The staff were very attentive and breakfast at the cafe was very nice.Guest review byBeataUnited Kingdom

The Trulli was stunningly beautiful and impeccably clean, just as depicted in the video. The stuff was very kind and helpful they gave us some advice regarding the tourism. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast. I highly recommend trying this experience; it‘s incredibly romantic and charming.Guest review bySaraAustria
- From $114.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 542 reviewsThe pool was great for kids. It has a big area with shallow water. For adults, nearby forest with "exercise trail" was an opportunity to "hit the gym". But then, with the amount of awesome local food and wine, it was necessary. The room was cleaned every day and it showed.Guest review byLudovit MydlaSlovakia

The old town was a delight, so long as one was aware of the bicycles, scooters, motorbikes and even cars sharing the narrow streets with you and lots of other pedestrians, in both directions! Plenty of nice restaurants, a few interesting museums, many churches and pleasant walking along the sea and harbour edges as well as on the remains of the city wall.Guest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful old town, with a huge number of restaurants and bars. Food was excellent throughout. Staff everywhere were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help. We visited in September and it was very busy - We can only imagine it is too crowded and too hot in peak summer months. Be aware that beaches are small, but there are a number of them, within walking distance, or by taxi to larger beach clubs. The old town is really beautiful, with tiny streets, squares and alleyways. Worth packing comfy shoes and just wandering.Guest review byNicolaIreland - 8.0

Polignano a Mare is very much a tourist destination with lots of people packed into a small centre. It is worth a visit but perhaps not an extended stay when there are so many other (more interesting) places to visit in Puglia.Guest review byDamianUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful old town area, quite compact with lovely restaurants and cafes. A few shops selling tasteful clothing and gifts, no tacky tourist tat. Stunning views across the surrounding countryside from many view points. Two nights gave us the opportunity to explore in a relaxing way but it’s possible a day trip would be enough for some. We enjoyed visiting Mandragon for both breakfast and in the evening for dinner. Best lasagna we’ve ever eaten.Guest review byHilaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Giovinazzo is a great little town, especially the historic centre. Less touristy than other places. Great fun exploring the little alleyways and squares. Plenty of restaurants serving excellent food, though we struggled to find just bars...we were there towards the end of their season though, so maybe more options in peak season? A good base for visiting Bari, Trani plus other sights inlandGuest review byStephen - 8.0

Lovely typical authentic Italian town with interesting Centro Storico with its good range of cafes, restaurants and historical sights. No Sky Sports bars, Irish pubs or Sunday Roast Beef dinners (thankfully) ! Very family friendly and a good base to explore the wider area.
