Everything was excellent and we would definitely stay again. Check-in: hours are limited so make sure to arrive between those hours. The staff are very friendly and provided us with great information on nearby walks and hikes suitable for winter. The staff were also responsive to our messages via booking.com in advance of our trip. Apartment: The apartment was extremely clean and the bed was really comfy. The bathroom was nice with a huge sink and powerful shower. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed; we had read some reviews and were not sure what would be there when we arrived, some said they didn't even have a kettle. But we had everything we needed - actually even more than we needed :) - pots, pans, roasting dishes, kettle, coffee maker, even things like a cheese grater and kitchen scissors, and all of it was extremely clean. Location: lovely mountain views, a short downhill walk in to town, plenty of grass around (important when travelling with a dog :)). The town of Bovec is lovely. Apparently extremely busy in the summer. Small supermarket in town or a short drive to something bigger. We were there in the off-season (between Christmas and New Year) and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great walks/hikes directly from the apartment or a short drive. All walks in the area are very well sign posted. Beautiful sightseeing (e.g. Slap Virje, Velika Korita). Parking: plenty of parking and free right outside the apartment.Guest review bySteph FAustria

It had a fridge, I asked for a kettle which was imediately provided and a TV which I didn't use. Very clean and comfortable in general! Breakfast was very varied and abundant, the service all very friendly at reception, housekeeping, and breakfast. All smiling and ready to answer and help. There's a gym, pool and sauna all well maintained and clean, the common areas are great to spend time reading or enjoying while talking with people you are with. The walk around the lake is great to do either way.
The walk around the lake is great to do either way. A visit to the castle is a must. Vintgar Gorge is stunning and the walk back into Bled is easy to follow. Definitely visit Bohinj area whilst staying in Bled. You can’t cycle around the lake however the walk is lovely and you can get the electric boat back across the lake as an option. Great place for a little escape to the mountains when I travelled in late summer for trail running. The town is full of nice little restaurants, many of them offering superb Slovenian food. I recommend Pino Alpino for a drink and dinner at Restaurant Lipa. If you have a day to spare a trip to Lake Bled is also well worth of your time, either to go swimming or to take a trip around the lake by boat. I would recommend having a car as it can be tricky to get in and out of town without. Will come back in winter to check out the slopes!Guest review byAnnaAustralia - 10

We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. Kobarid is a nice little town situated on Soča river between Tolmin and Bovec. There are numerous possibilities of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, paragliding, kayaking or simply taking a dip in stunningly turquoise Soča. The Tolmin Gorge is an absolute must do. We also climbed the hill up to the Kozlov Rob castle, but a portion of the castle was blocked off, which was a disappointment. A much better use of our time would have been to drive up sooner to Kolovrat Museum of the First World War; which isn't a museum, but a fascinating preservation of WW 1 bunkers and some of the most spectacular views of mountains and sea you will experience while in Slovenia.
