We really liked the area of the hotel, it seemed like real Italians lived there, lots of different cafes and places to relax in the evening. Next to the hotel is a fabulous garden with many cultural objects, it is definitely worth buying a ticket and seeing them. The metro is also super close. There were very comfortable beds and a good breakfast.

From the moment we walked into Umitla 36 we knew we were in for something special. From service at the door, to attentive check-in, to the table treats- this place was very high-quality. This was a splurge for us but lived up to all our expectations. We were given an upgrade to a larger room which was a plus for our family. Breakfast was over-the-top with a huge array of fruits, cheeses, pastries, and more. Service couldn't have been more positive. We were given great suggestions for local restaurants as well as ones in Trastevere. Calling a cab or a driver to the airport was a snap thanks to the care and kindness of the front desk. Can we stay longer, please?

Location not central but VERY conveniently located right next to a bus stop that connects you to metro system. Hu Roma Camping offers a cafe where you can get good coffee and cornetto for breakfast. There’s also a big supermarket right across the street. Both the site and our bungalow were very clean. We stayed there in February and it was cosy and warm (air conditioning for heating works super well).

There were 6 of us in the group for a week. Two of them lost their wallet that has their drivers license and credit cards through pick pocketer. One happened on the first day in a bakery shop while he was in line buying a coffee. The other one happened on the last day while she trying to get to the St. Peter's spare. Can't deny the historical beauty that Rome offers but security, cleanness and street conditions (potholes everywhere) of the city need to be improved urgently before the tourists loss their interest to visit.

I don't think many people think of "going to the beach" in Rome, but it's only about 30 minutes away and costs $1.50 by public transit. The town itself is a little slow when not in high beach season, but there are loads of restaurants and shops to keep you busy if the beach isn't your thing. Public transport is great. And, you can visit incredible recently unearthed Roman Ruins of Ostia Antica very easily.

During my visit to Gaeta, I was truly impressed by several places in this charming coastal town. I especially loved walking along the seaside promenade and the beautiful avenue of plane trees—it was very relaxing and scenic. The old town with its colorful streets and historic buildings was also a highlight. For a quick bite or a casual meal, there are plenty of great options. I particularly enjoyed the local cafés and restaurants where you can try fresh seafood and traditional Italian dishes. There are also small grocery stores nearby if you prefer to grab something on the go. Getting around Gaeta is quite easy. The town is compact, so most places can be reached on foot, and it’s very pleasant to explore the streets at a leisurely pace. For families with young children, I would highly recommend visiting the beaches, which are clean and safe. A walk along the promenade or a visit to the Spanish Fortress on Monte Orlando is also fun and manageable with kids. The town has a relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for families to enjoy both sightseeing and leisure time together.

Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace of Versailles. The walk through Villa Gregoriana gardens down the side of the hill to the bottom of the waterfalls was a solid hike and not for the feeble. Definitely take a couple of hours to visit Hadrian’s Villa (aka Villa Adriana) which had amazing historical half crumbling palace and ornamental lake.

A lovely quaint place to stay, transport by train to Rome was a 5 min walk from hotel Flora and the train took about 40 min. and bus was outside the hotel. It has lovely restaurants and bars but limited clothes shopping. Just a great place to stay away from the the crowds in Rome. Cheap train travel to Rome 4.50 euro return to Frascati. Wineries are close to the township, just a beautiful place to stay.
