- From $137.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,151 reviewsBeautiful building in the middle of the Italian riviera with super helpful and positive staff. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, especially waking up in the morning looking at the sea and enjoying the sunshine directly out of our bed. At breakfast you can find a lot of local specialities and also international ones which are all delicious. The rooms are modern and very clean, the mattress was ultra comfortable and seems to be new. Genoa is a big port city with many grand buildings, it's very interesting. We walked along the old port and saw all the mega yachts! We walked to the centre, past the cathedral and down Via Garibaldi - amazing buildings. There are lots of lovely restaurants and shops. It is also a big port and has some dark alleyways! Getting around is easy by metro or taxiGuest review byGraceUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Travelling from Rome, we made La Spezia our base to launch into the Cinque Terre. Fiume269 was just 10-min walk away from the main train station to travel to the 5 towns. Buses from near our stay take you easily to La Spezia's main attractions.Guest review byRobin GomesItaly - 10.0

Beautiful traditional Italian seaside town with plenty of interesting things to visit. La Pigna (the old town) is an interesting climb through small alleyways and gates. The Russian Orthodox church is small but perfectly formed. Villa Nobel is an interesting science museum & a beautiful villa to see from the outside. There is a 30km cycle and walking track running along the seafront, an old converted train track with plenty of cycle hire places along the way. Plenty of nice places nearby if you have a hire car. Steer clear of the Casino - it's tacky and full of slot machines.Guest review byJeremyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Charming Monterosso al Mare has the largest selection of...
Charming Monterosso al Mare has the largest selection of hotels, shops and restaurants compared to the other Cinque Terre villages. We used it as a base to travel to the other four villages, which with hindsight was a great decision as it is less steep compared to the others. It is very easy to travel between the villages by train but if you're fond of hikes, there are numerous trails which can be followed to get to each. We did the section of the Blue Trail (Sentiero Azzuro) between Monterosso and Vernazza which was very steep and took about 3-4 hours at a slow pace. The STUNNING Via del Amore (Lovers walk) from Riomaggiore to Manarola is flat and very easy. You would need about 3 days to see all the villages at a leisurely pace but allow more time if you plan to do several trails. The moon rise from the promenade paired with a busker singing live in Monterosso al Mare is breath taking and evokes an indefinable sense of inner peace. Since we stayed there for five nights, we had ample time to visit historical Porto Venere, a short ferry ride from La Spezia. After walking around for a few hours, we took a boat all the way back to Monterosso al Mare which was definitely worth it for the alternative views of the five villages. Another option for a location of the Italian Riviera to visit is the glamorous and star studded Portofino. Whatever you do and wherever you are, do not miss the delicious gelatos and freshly made lemonade! They're everywhere! Have a fantastic trip!Guest review byMeeraKenya - 10.0

Riomaggiore is a vibrant town.
Riomaggiore is a vibrant town. Loved being outside at night with the restaurant sounds and bars playing music. It felt safe to walk around on my own. Enjoyed the harbor view and proximity to boat rental and tours. Beach was nice and small and not too crowded. Ferry is right there, too. Highly recommend staying in Riomaggiore.Guest review bySusan CleereUnited States - 8.0

The city center is nice, there are good restaurants but every of them takes fee for sitting at the table - from 2 to 4 euros even to drink one cocktail. Beaches are not very good in Rapallo, you need to go somewhere further for good sea. We went on the beaches after San-Margarita, it is better drive there or go by bus.Guest review byElena - 10.0

We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and watched the sunset from the marina. We also visited the local shops and ate dinner in the restaurant next door which was excellent. We enjoyed the sunrise from our terrace. The pool was open but it is outside and unheated, so it was too cool to swim.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0
