Unfortunately I needed a doctor during my stay in this fantastic Hotel and the staff has gone far beyond of all my expectations. They have called one of the staff member's father to help me . They were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately I didn't remember the names but two gentleman from the Reception Team were helping so much. Thank you very much . Breakfast was great selection. Room was comforatble , new and clean, featuring all the necessary equipments one would need for all purposes of visit. Deffinitely I recommend this Hotel to every traveller looking for an accomodation in Modica.

FAQs about hotels in Sicily

An Island of Intrigue

The largest Italian island, Sicily has long been a place of mystery and intrigue, coveted by civilisations. Its Greek history is most evident at Agrigento whose UNESCO World Heritage-listed Valley of the Temples has amazingly well-preserved Greek temples.

Also important to Greece was Siracusa. Archimedes was born here and there is a theatre and necropolis to explore. However, the most spectacularly located Greek theatre is at Taormina. Set on a hill overlooking the glorious Mediterranean Sea, this theatre points towards Mount Etna smoking away in the distance above Catania. Picturesque Taormina is one of the most popular Sicily resorts and down below there are some wonderful Giardini Naxos hotels on the beach, available on Booking.com.

Another resort boasting some of the best Sicily hotels for families is fabulous Cefalù. Home to a lovely beach, this small town is dramatically located at the foot of a mountain. To the north-west are the Aeolian Islands (also known as the Lipari Islands), volcanic islands with plunging cliffs and secret coves.

Back on the main island, the capital Palermo is a seductive mix of amazing architecture and laidback life. Trapani to the west is known for its salt flats, whereas Messina to the east is where trains drive straight onto the ferry to Reggio Calabria on the Italian mainland.

This is my second time at this resort. It is so peaceful, surrounded by trees. Beach is amazingly beautiful. Pools- you are spoilt for choice. The animation team is great!!!We had a soft spot for Tommaso, he was so humble and kind and funny ...but truly all of them were great 😁 The staff at the pool bar were always gentle and professional too. Perfect place if you want to relax, especially with kids. Kids clubs are amazing, however kids need to know Italian, as most of the team are Italian speaking only.

Everything was perfect! The room had a wonderful view. We really enjoyed the pool and the sea — the access to the water is amazing and the view is stunning. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good. The extra activities like kayaking and stand-up paddle are paid separately, but the prices are fair and totally worth it. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Palermo has a vivid and charming atmosphere.

Palermo has a vivid and charming atmosphere. There are certainly many things to see and enjoy about the city and its close surroundings. On the other hand. Get ready to experience the freestyle no rules hell in traffic when you drive or ride (which just makes us really laugh sometimes) and also get ready to see a dire mess on the streets where garbage lies in plastic bags all over just next to something beautiful and anyone just leaves thrash completely recklessl wherever they deem fit.

Having planned just an overnight in the city, our group agreed that we would recommend just heading out to explore Sicily and skip Catania altogether; it was not worth all the aggravation getting back and forth from the airport. Very dirty city, the few attractions weren't that exciting, and we enjoyed other areas of the island much more. The buses weren't remotely running on time and we finally just got an Uber to get back to the airport for our rental car.

We stayed in Ortygia, the Old Town part of Syracuse, whcih was a very interesting place, with narrow streets and old buildings. The market was great. We also went to the medieval Jewish ritual baths, the only surviving one in Europe, because it was blocked up during the Spanish Inquisition and only rediscovered in the 1960s. The Archimedes and Da Vinci Museum was amazing - found out a lot more of their discoveries and inventions. And the Archaeological Park was wonderful - needed a couple of hours to go around. Have to catch a taxi to get there - best to go later in the day if it is a hot day.

It is a must in Sicily.

It is a must in Sicily. You should also visit the other mountain-top town of Castelmola, possible by bus if you don't have a car. We visited the gorge and Etna. The cost of going high on Etna is exorbitant, 69 euros by bus or cable car, so we just went on long walks.

Great base for day trips (to Erice/Egadi Islands/even Marsala), but the city itself is worth visiting! A very walkable location, especially from where we stayed [SAT Appartamenti Locazioni turistiche brevi-G&P]. We were told to try Busiate so we did in so many different styles haha. We ate these seasoned fried chick pea patties that looked like fried halloumi or tofu that had we not spoken to our hosts we would not have known what we were eating! I left this too late and can't recall everything... Spectacular views as per for Sicily. We happened to be there for the opening of "Radio Mare" this cute cafe that becomes a hi-fi listening bar in the eveniing... super vibey, defo check it out. Every shop and restaurant we stumbled in was worth visiting. It was a lively city that was a good blend of tourist and locals!

Beautiful town, full of life at night. Easily walkable, flat streets. Beach is nice and long, with multiple free areas. It's a gorgeous scene with the huge mountains, and lighthouse at the other end. It is definitely more of a touristy feel, as we went in August. Definitely explore up and down the peninsula, as there's excellent beaches and coves to swim at as well!

Had an excustion to the godfather on a hop on hop off bus(green) I had ordered from Get Your Guide and went 2 hours early and the direction they gave us was wrong and couldnt find the place for pick up in mountain. Had no wifi on my phone, even when i paid extra to get itWIFI on my phone. Tried to ask people but on one knew where to go. Traffic was terrible where the address was to pick up. So i ended up not making the excurion, and company is not giving me a refund. Also the rest RISTORANTE SABBIE D' ORO charged us $162.00(euro) for a 1 lobster. They stood over us until we order, couldnt speak english and the menu said 18 euros for a one lobster, thought that was a good price. Pressed us with extra stuff we did not want to order, because we could not understand them. Then we go to pay there system was down and couldnt take no visa or MC. Our bill was $350 eros. We had to go to atm machine and they charged us $75 to take money out of machine. BAD EXPERINCE!!!!!! I would suggest not to go there.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place. It was a very friendly environment, and unlike the main island, there was no trash littering the area. It was great to see that the main mode of transportation there was by bicycles. The food was also great, but it was a bit overpriced.
