The property itself is stunning, there are views from every angle of the volcano, sea, or beautiful floral bushes planted all around the property. We had our own private room which felt very private and secluded. I accidentally booked a room without AC so we slept with the windows open to get a good breeze in there along with the ceiling fan and got to see the sun rise in the morning. Such a great place to stay in the middle of the island so your walk is cut down depending on where you go. I would stay here again for sure. The owner was very accommodating and nice. They gave us two free bottles of water nice and cold in the fridge when we checked in. We were allowed to drop our bags off early and change in the restroom to hang out at the beach while our room was getting ready. They also let us check in 2 hours earlier than the check in time. A great experience overall, and they gave out a discount at one of the cafe's at the top of the hill.

Quaint, quiet place with comfortable accommodations, small kitchen, close to grocery store...3 min walk to port and cafes. Franco is friendly and gave me olive oil for cooking and oranges from the tree. Dogs are friendly. Can't beat the price.

Stromboli is one of a kind to check out an active volcano.
Stromboli is one of a kind to check out an active volcano. It also has surprisingly nice beaches. The island is lacking some tourist infrastructure. There is no place to rent snorkel equipment, for example. Food is a little pricier than mainland but nothing too outrageous.

We walked up the mountain without a guide to around 300 Metres. A tough climb but coming back in the dark is also difficult t pays to have headlamps... we used our cell phone torches which was a bit limiting.
The experience and views were breathing taking especially at sunset..
