FAQs about hotels in Veneto
Inspiration for Artist and Architect
The Veneto offers relaxation and recreation in world-famous cities and wonderful landscapes. Words don’t do justice to its ever-serene capital Venice, a captivating maze of canals and monuments. Cheap hotels in Venice are scarce, but Mestre across the lagoon offers more budget options.
Cheap flights to Venice land in Treviso, a little version of that fabled city. Also centred on canals is beautiful Chioggia, home to several Veneto hotels on the beach. Yet more are in Caorle, near its distinctive 11th-century bell tower and waterfront church. Another family-friendly Veneto resort with a long beach is Lido di Jesolo.
In studenty Padua, Giotto’s 14th-century frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel are bursting with colour. The majestic Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza was designed by Palladio, the prolific architect whose villas and churches cover the Veneto. Romantic Verona inspired Romeo and Juliet and has an incredibly well-preserved Roman arena hosting summer opera.
Nearby Lake Garda offers many luxury hotels in the Veneto on Booking.com. By its eastern shore is the popular Gardaland theme park, the elegant Garda promenade, and the wineries of Bardolino.
Grappa was invented in riverfront Bassano del Grappa, and nearby Asolo is one of the region’s most beautiful hill towns. Belluno is overlooked by the Dolomites, while Abano Terme is a spa town by the Colli Euganei, whose undulating hills house vineyards.

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 969 reviewsThe best camping village we visited in 7 years of traveling with kids. Common areas are fantastic: the pool with nice bar, playgrounds, fitness area, beach with included sun benches and umbrella. The houses are cute, clean and well equipped. Some have larger areas in front for sun benches. We had a bit scarce outdoor space. Staff is very friendly, both in the cafes, bars and animation. Very easy and quick check in and check out. The program of activities is very diverse and we had several options to join every day to the taste of both adults and kids. Also, it is close to the main city in the area and we enjoyed walks in Bibione, as well as a day car trip to Trieste. Variety of options for food, also for takeaway.Guest review byEkaterinaItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,376 reviewsA beautiful place. We have rested here with our family for 2 times already. Similar to a club hotel in Turkey, but you live in your own house with parking and all amenities (including kitchenware, dishwasher and coffee machine). There is a private beach (the price includes two sun beds and an umbrella). there is a swimming pool and a restaurant on site, a small shop. Children's animation in season. There are shops, cafes and restaurants 2 kilometers away. Also close to the historic fishing town of Chioggia.Guest review byVictoriaCzech Republic
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,141 reviewsWarm pool was full of fun for my children. Music and animation also exist. Cafe and restaurant were very good, including kind staff. Rooms were comfortable with equipped kitchen. There is also a supermarket which has all you need, you can cook for your family. Nearby lake, sunset was the best in Sunset cafe. Garden was very beautiful in nature. We will come back for sure.Guest review byTugba mahcupGermany

Verona is like a mini Florence with beautiful churches and amazing history without the extreme crowds, high prices and extreme touristy feel. It was much easier to get around in, less hectic and overall far friendlier and more fun to visit. The food there was better too and less expensive, more local feeling rather then one big tourist trap. Wish we had stayed longer and cut our Florence time shorter.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0

Although I spent most of my time in Venice, I enjoyed the casual walkable surroundings. Good coffee shops and restaurants close by. The bus into Venice took 10 minutes and ran often. The train station was also close by. Staying in Mestre was certainly less hectic than staying in Venice so it was quite enjoyable.Guest review byronUnited States - 10.0

College town with nice squares, historic buildings, museums and university without all the tourists. No big tourist groups or buses. Felt more like a real livable city with a local community. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable relative to the more popular tourist locations.Guest review byDR Ron GUnited States - 8.0

Easily reached from Verona and an interesting place with it's massive Venetian style defensive walls. It has a couple of pretty areas, but there isn't a lot else of historic interest here. Plenty of nice places to eat though, with Osteria Rivelin and Amici Miei Tipicoteca the standouts that we tried. From here you can use the ferries and buses to go elsewhere quite easily - as long as you are relaxed about bus timetables. Theme parks Gardaland and Movieland are pretty close by as well, for the kids. Finally, the people are lovely and friendly everywhere.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It's not the cheapest town in the area, and not every place has the same high standards. Lots of Olympic construction going on, both in town and all around, so watch out for delays and possible noise. But you'll get over that once you smell the air and see the views. This is the Alsager then someGuest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 2.0

Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.Guest review byBolshoi_HuiUK Virgin Islands - 10.0
Treviso is worth a visit if you are near or close to Venice.
Treviso is worth a visit if you are near or close to Venice. It's a very walkable town with ancient roots and lots of great shops and places of interest. We were mostly stayed within the city walls chose a neighborhood with amazing shops, cafes, and restaurants. It also felt more diverse in population than some of the other towns we visited - both in age and ethnicity (probably due to the local university and the fact that the city also hosts a lot of study abroad programs). Some memorable places we went to include * Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle (a/k/a the Duomo) * Osteria Dalla Gigia for a quick bites/small snacks (highly recommend the mozzarella in carrozza if it's available) * Toni del Spin - a trattoria with a great wine list * Mangiafuoco - a lovely children's shop that specializes in paper mache, wood, and fabric toys and decor * Noberasco 1908 dried fruit specialty store (the slightly sweetened dried orange slices are like no other) * Camelia BakeryGuest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0

Jesolo was quiet and lots of restaurants closed for the season, however still enough choices. We travelled 4th October. The transport options were still excellent and extremely good value, we used buses and ferries. We travelled to Venice via coach from Jesolo bus station and also to punta sabbioni to catch the ferry to island hop to Bruano and murano then on to Venice to then catch the direct ferry back to punta Sabbioni (which is about 25 mins on local bus from the closest bus stop (5 mins) from Superior Beach aparthotel. Jesolo was clean and the beach, being out of bathing water season was still very clean and tidy and wonderful to walk on, the sand is very soft. We would definitely visit during May - Sept also.Guest review byAmandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Really enjoyed staying in Bardolino. Plenty of shops and spoilt for choice when it came to restaurants. It’s quite busy even late September and I wouldn’t want to go during the peak summer months for this reason but also the heat.Guest review byJeannetteUnited Kingdom
