FAQs about hotels in Veneto
Inspiration for Artist and Architect
The Veneto offers relaxation and recreation in world-famous cities and wonderful landscapes. Words don’t do justice to its ever-serene capital Venice, a captivating maze of canals and monuments. Cheap hotels in Venice are scarce, but Mestre across the lagoon offers more budget options.
Cheap flights to Venice land in Treviso, a little version of that fabled city. Also centred on canals is beautiful Chioggia, home to several Veneto hotels on the beach. Yet more are in Caorle, near its distinctive 11th-century bell tower and waterfront church. Another family-friendly Veneto resort with a long beach is Lido di Jesolo.
In studenty Padua, Giotto’s 14th-century frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel are bursting with colour. The majestic Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza was designed by Palladio, the prolific architect whose villas and churches cover the Veneto. Romantic Verona inspired Romeo and Juliet and has an incredibly well-preserved Roman arena hosting summer opera.
Nearby Lake Garda offers many luxury hotels in the Veneto on Booking.com. By its eastern shore is the popular Gardaland theme park, the elegant Garda promenade, and the wineries of Bardolino.
Grappa was invented in riverfront Bassano del Grappa, and nearby Asolo is one of the region’s most beautiful hill towns. Belluno is overlooked by the Dolomites, while Abano Terme is a spa town by the Colli Euganei, whose undulating hills house vineyards.

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,140 reviewsStaff was really nice, super friendly. The pool looked great too, though we did not use as it was cold when we were there. They have an Animator team as well, organizing many programmes for the kids including evening kids disco/show. There is a restaurant and a grocery shop. The Lake Garda is 50 m away from the camping. We visited Gardaland, the Sealife, Verona, and when I asked my kids what was the best part of the trip, they said it was the camping :) They insisted we return this year and they said these 4 days were the best days of their lives so far:) Thank you so much, I absolutely recommend this placeGuest review byEditHungary
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 251 reviewsIt’s a fantastic location right on the beach and in the heart of Lido de Jesolo with many shops and restaurants right outside the door. Because of the big parking lot that separates the hotel from the street you don’t hear the noise and it’s nice and quiet. The staff is really helpful and nice and took great care of my family. The hotel also provides bikes free of charge to explore the area.Guest review byTamaraUnited States

If you are looking to explore Italy for the first time, you should not miss Venice. It's an ancient city with numerous things to learn about, including culture, food, history, and more. The best time to go is during the Fall season, as places are not that crowded. You must always haggle/bargain when buying souvenirs, as products tend to be pricey for tourists.Guest review byFlorindaUnited States - 8.0

Verona is like a mini Florence with beautiful churches and amazing history without the extreme crowds, high prices and extreme touristy feel. It was much easier to get around in, less hectic and overall far friendlier and more fun to visit. The food there was better too and less expensive, more local feeling rather then one big tourist trap. Wish we had stayed longer and cut our Florence time shorter.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 8.0

The area of Mestre near the train station is safe and convenient, but not very pretty. Like many cities, it has a large immigrant population, so it doesn't feel very Italian, which you expect to when in Italy. HOWEVER, once you walk to the center of Mestre, about 15 minutes from the train station, or a couple stops by bus/tram, the town center of Mestre is really lovely with a great museum, big pretty square, nice shops and lots of great places to have a spritz and some ciccheti outside, so I definitely recommend people to take the time to see the town center. That said, we did enjoy all the non-Italian places to eat in Mestre, we had some great Indian food, which was a comforting break after eating Italian food for 3 weeks.Guest review byChris and NicoleUnited States - 10.0

College town with nice squares, historic buildings, museums and university without all the tourists. No big tourist groups or buses. Felt more like a real livable city with a local community. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable relative to the more popular tourist locations.Guest review byDR Ron GUnited States - 8.0

Easily reached from Verona and an interesting place with it's massive Venetian style defensive walls. It has a couple of pretty areas, but there isn't a lot else of historic interest here. Plenty of nice places to eat though, with Osteria Rivelin and Amici Miei Tipicoteca the standouts that we tried. From here you can use the ferries and buses to go elsewhere quite easily - as long as you are relaxed about bus timetables. Theme parks Gardaland and Movieland are pretty close by as well, for the kids. Finally, the people are lovely and friendly everywhere.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice.
Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.Guest review byBolshoi_HuiUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It's not the cheapest town in the area, and not every place has the same high standards. Lots of Olympic construction going on, both in town and all around, so watch out for delays and possible noise. But you'll get over that once you smell the air and see the views. This is the Alsager then someGuest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Treviso is worth a visit if you are near or close to Venice.
Treviso is worth a visit if you are near or close to Venice. It's a very walkable town with ancient roots and lots of great shops and places of interest. We were mostly stayed within the city walls chose a neighborhood with amazing shops, cafes, and restaurants. It also felt more diverse in population than some of the other towns we visited - both in age and ethnicity (probably due to the local university and the fact that the city also hosts a lot of study abroad programs). Some memorable places we went to include * Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle (a/k/a the Duomo) * Osteria Dalla Gigia for a quick bites/small snacks (highly recommend the mozzarella in carrozza if it's available) * Toni del Spin - a trattoria with a great wine list * Mangiafuoco - a lovely children's shop that specializes in paper mache, wood, and fabric toys and decor * Noberasco 1908 dried fruit specialty store (the slightly sweetened dried orange slices are like no other) * Camelia BakeryGuest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0

Really enjoyed staying in Bardolino. Plenty of shops and spoilt for choice when it came to restaurants. It’s quite busy even late September and I wouldn’t want to go during the peak summer months for this reason but also the heat.Guest review byJeannetteUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Jesolo was quiet and lots of restaurants closed for the season, however still enough choices. We travelled 4th October. The transport options were still excellent and extremely good value, we used buses and ferries. We travelled to Venice via coach from Jesolo bus station and also to punta sabbioni to catch the ferry to island hop to Bruano and murano then on to Venice to then catch the direct ferry back to punta Sabbioni (which is about 25 mins on local bus from the closest bus stop (5 mins) from Superior Beach aparthotel. Jesolo was clean and the beach, being out of bathing water season was still very clean and tidy and wonderful to walk on, the sand is very soft. We would definitely visit during May - Sept also.Guest review byAmandaUnited Kingdom
