Turin has lots going for it - beautiful boulevards, piazzas, some fantastic museums and great food and wine. Unfortunately our experience was heavily influenced by the pollution which meant that we couldn’t see any views of the city from any of the viewing points (eg the Mole and the basilica). The city was also covered everywhere with graffiti which ruined many buildings and made it feel a very neglected and run down city.Guest review byClaudiaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great and interesting city.
Great and interesting city. Been there before, many years ago, and wanted to see it again. The piazza Il Campo is fantastic - the most odd and beautiful square in Italy and maybe in Europe. Go up to the top of the tower and see it from above, amazing! Just to bad that the horserace Il Palio was in July and August, that would have been a great experience.Guest review byTommySweden - 8.0

We visited all the touristic atractions, especially museums and palaces. A lot of the were with free entrance. We found very, very good restaurants, even for the best evaluated ones it is needed to reserve.Guest review byDoru1234Romania - 10.0
Lucca was delightful.
Lucca was delightful. It felt calm and peaceful, unlike some other places we visited in Tuscany. Lucca is old and quaint, It is enclosed by city walls which can be walked or cycled. The train station is close by, making it easy to travel to other places in the area.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

San Gimignano is a medieval town which is very popular with Italian tourists as well as other EU/US visitors. It's like stepping back in time as everywhere is so original and dripping with age. There are plenty of shops selling quality foods, ceramics, fabrics, art, bakeries and even a potter who will make a pot in front of your eyes - in fact everything you can think of! Plenty of nice restaurants from simple pizzerias to Michelin starred will cater for every taste and budget. There are a number of old towers you can climb which will give you a wonderful birds eye view of the surrounding Tuscan countryside, but if you don't want to climb then a leisurely stroll around the ancient streets is a cultural treat.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Loved how interesting Aosta was - Roman Ruins and a lot of history plus great bar & restaurant choices & friendly locals. Very busy each evening when everyone takes an aperitivo & a stroll & easy to get to by coach from Turin. Easy access to other towns & ski resorts in the Aosta Valley too. Also very reasonably priced compared to England.Guest review byClaireUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I have visited Viterbo a number of times and love walking around the historical centre. I use Viterbo as my base to visit towns and sites nearby as I don't drive, so it is very convenient and well serviced by Cotral bus services to the different places.Guest review byAnneAustralia
