It was such a treat to have lovely homecooked meals and Sandra took into account all our dietary needs. This is the perfect place to do the Blue Mountain Peak hike, which was stunning. The beds were super comfy!

United KingdomThe owners made our stay more than perfect couldn’t ask for nicer hosts so friendly & polite made us feel right at home so comfortable and welcoming truly made our holiday complete it was like staying with family, the Location was ideal close to the centre with plenty of shops to choose from, Our room was amazing so spacious had everything we needed ie cooker, kettle , fridge , microwave & accessories , smart TV and WiFi,beds where comfortable the rooms was extra secure with padlocks on the gates outside the room there was also a private secure driveway/parking so we could park our car there every night safely free of charge . Honestly anytime me and my family are in ST THOMAS we know where we will be staying from now on Thank you ever so much Barefoot Guest House 10/10 :) !! X

JamaicaThe breakfast was exceptional and our waitress Lorise was super, it was four of us and we could not have asked for more. Value for money was a wow 10 out of 10 excellent. This was my second trip to Portland Parish and the first for the others. This is a hotel worth visiting anytime. I have never slept on a round bed before, I really like the uniqueness of this. Quiet and peaceful in paradise. The garden , the flowers , wow. We will be back and we will be taking others with us.

JamaicaThe staff was very friendly, courteous and very helpful. They assisted in making contact with the raftman and the taxi man who transported us to and from the location. I enjoyed my stay there. I would visit again and I also referred my friends to stay there when they visit Portland.

Jay’s guesthouse is a perfect base for exploring the Blue...
Jay’s guesthouse is a perfect base for exploring the Blue Mountains and hiking its main attraction: the Peak Trail. The trailhead is just a short walking distance from the village. The village and the mountains are perfectly safe to explore. Jay and his family were very helpful and friendly. We were offered breakfast and dinner each day, and the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. It was Jamaican village style food: chicken, fish, rice and beans, plantains, etc. The room was clean and comfortable, and the mountain view was awesome. We did not take any additional trips due to time constraints, but also because the road is very bumpy and it takes a long time to get anywhere. I would suggest that once you are in the village you take your time to explore the Blue Mountains cloud forest, the nearby villages and coffee farms. I definitely recommend Jay’s guesthouse to any nature lover. Hope to come one more time and show the magical forest to my friends and family!Guest review byVedenyapinaUnited States
