This is a gorgeous hotel with lovely welcoming employees. The lobby is absolutely stunning. The room we had, 377 had a huge bed, a comfortable lounge chair, a closet and the biggest, most well stocked bathroom of any of our hotels. It did not face the interior garden which I would have preferred had I known but was still fabulous. This hotel will not disappoint. The buffet breakfast, even for a vegetarian was exceptional.

Love the location next to Kanazawa station, there is a lot of restaurants and shopping around. All sightseeing were walkable from the hotel. Staff are very welcoming and always available to support their clients. The room was very big!

    Kanazawa is a very interesting place to visit.

    Kanazawa is a very interesting place to visit. It has a similar charm as Kyoto, but with fewer crowds. We found it easy to get around the city by bus or on foot. We had 2 days here but could have stayed for 4 days or more.

    Great visits possible in this area - the Ropeway (cable car)...

    Great visits possible in this area - the Ropeway (cable car) up into the alps, the Onsen, Hida Village was superb and had loads of additional activities for children, and Takayama was a complete surprise with is bijou shops in the beautiful old quarter. There seemed to be plenty more to do including museums etc.

    We were able to take great pictures of Mt Fuji from our window. The onsen and buffet was great. The price was affordable for a group of 8 with free breakfast and dinner. The room was clean and Yukata was included. Highly recommended

    We really liked Matsumoto and it was a much more fun and interesting city than we expected. We had an overnight stay, largely to visit the famous castle, after visiting Kiso valley. Would happily have stayed longer.

    Lovely city, not overwhelming like Osaka and Tokyo. Lots of good shopping, bars and restaurants . Great base for traveling to see snow monkeys and ski resorts Stayed for 3 nights which was perfect for our holiday

    I've been extremely lucky, I was in Niigata after a snowstorm and I found an amazing scenery of beaches under a white carpet. The fisherman market is an experience you should not miss, delicious food and crazy cheap bill. Try to drive the coastline!

    Shizuoka is a hidden gem.

    Shizuoka is a hidden gem. You can stay here and get to many sightseeing destinations by rail (day trips) and come back to the relaxation of more laidback location. Locals are very pleasant and friendly, not so jaded by the over tourism of Kyoto and Osaka. We speak very limited Japanese, but were welcomed and managed in small local restaurants and Izakayas.

    People there are very helpful and courteous.

    People there are very helpful and courteous. It is very clean, and uncongested. Quiet and peaceful, unlike the other cities. I highkt recommend pairing Toyama and Tetayama, i.e. 3 and 2 nights respectively . Simply amazing.

    Quiet seaside town with no tourists apart from us.

    Quiet seaside town with no tourists apart from us. Easy to get to from Osaka. Stayed in a traditional ryokan (tattoo friendly). Spent the day walking along the harbour to the ropeway up to Atami castle which had several different art displays and museums including an adults only one and a great view of the coast. Away from the beach things were pretty steep so a car might have been a sensible option
