- From $400.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 23 reviewsWe have been in Tokashiki island for 5 days, as part of our Asian trip. Our stay at Hotel Kerama Terrace was the best experience that could have happened to us. Comfortable room, exceptionally kind attitude, incredibly delicious food... The hosts offered us many activities, the beach near the hotel is the most beautiful and have the best reef for snorkeling. Breakfast was wonderful and dinner was a true gourmet experience worthy of a Michelin star. Thank you dear people! Thank you for the special treatment! Thank you for the unforgettable memory you left in us! We will for sure see each other again, despite the huge distance that separates us! Greetings from distant Bulgaria!Guest review byvladyBulgaria
- From $232.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 509 reviewsKeep your expectations low and you will love it! It’s a beach front property. The location is unbeatable and the beach is absolutely gorgeous. I had a wonderful seaview from my room. The property is old and run down but there wasn’t anything I missed. The rooms had everything I needed, the beds were comfortable. The included food (half board) was delicious. The reef was very good and I even saw turtles. If you are looking for some peace and quiet on a beautiful beach, this is the place for you.Guest review byDagmaraPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 321 reviewsIyo and his wife, Tomo were incredibly kind and welcoming!! The twin room is well designed (neutral colors, wood & tatami floor are inviting) w private bath (good flow of hot water in shower). Snorkel gear and beach towel are for rent; Just down the road from our favorite Restaurant Marumiya!! They let us store our luggage and take the snorkel gear & beach towel to Furazamami after checkout, as we were heading back on the afternoon ferry.Guest review byYvonneUnited States
- From $200.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 530 reviewsStaff is very accommodating, front desk went put of the way to make sure we understood everything including shuttle times, especially since we were foreigners. Restaurant was amazing and fair priced. Very understanding, before we even asked they already told us we could store our luggage in front desk, since there was am awkward time between check out and the ferry departure. We are so grateful for welcoming us on their island.Guest review byGeorgeUnited States

It’s as though everyone who comes through here are the kindest and coolest backpackers. Chill vibes, well stocked kitchen for cooking, super clean bunk beds, and the hosts are super friendly and kind! Thank you Marino san for helping me readjust my ferry timing. And it was so nice chatting with Miki san she’s the sweetest soul.Guest review byShenaSingapore

I was there for five days (planned for seven days to include five days of diving), and my stay was cut short by the threat of a typhoon. Tokashiki is quiet - you have to make your own activities, which are water-based. We found a couple of exceptional restaurants and a food truck with great vibes. Lots of friendly locals.Guest review byPaulaCanada - 10.0

Beautiful small island with lots of breathtaking places and spots for snorkeling. The further you move from the Zamami village the more quiet is gets. We went to the more remoted beaches to walk around and were the only people there for couple of hours. Most of the places are easily accessible by bike that can be rented either at hotel or in the main village. There are few restaurant, but always book a table. Often they don't accept guests without reservation, likely due to portion limitations.Guest review byHorakova - 10.0

Akemi was such a wonderful host.. she picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off on our return back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Her place was comfortable and had everything we needed. She even has a restaurant close by and another food spot by Ama beach where we were able to get food and snacks. She served delicious, authentic food at her restaurant and I think she was also the chef! Will definitely stay here again!Guest review byArleneUnited States - 10.0

The beach here really is one of the best in Japan, maybe one of the best in the world. Crabs and coral and beautiful seashells everywhere. It's so natural. Beautiful white sand and blue sea. Best of all is under the water. Coral gardens, colorful fish, sea turtlesGuest review byChristopherJapan - 10.0
Zamami is quiet and very natural.
Zamami is quiet and very natural. We stayed near the port and there are two nice beaches within walking distance. The town is very quiet ad peaceful. we rented scooters and drove around the island - a great way to see spectacular views. I recommend 3 nights. Be sure to book restaurants for dinner as its a small town and the restaurants fill up quickly. We really enjoyed eating at the hotel but would have liked to have tried a few other places too. The Mexican truck was a great place for lunch (no reservations needed).Guest review byjacqueline - 10.0
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands.
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands. There are some great spots for swimming, snorkeling, and diving from the shore, but a boat trip will be required for some of the other spots, particularly the northern portion of the island. The roads are narrow, but it's worth touring around the island on some of the back roads for the various views and wildlife.Guest review byJarrodUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The local authorities definitely need to figure out these two obvious issues including the overprice to tourists and the depression of local residents. Local people are super reluctant to do businesses like always closed restaurants and rude shop owner in furuzamami beach.Guest review by鲁西西China
