- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 448 reviewsThis is a traditional-style Japanese hotel. Upon entering the room it was set up as a living room. While we were eating dinner, the staff set up the beds. Dinner was a lovely multi-course meal that neither my mom nor I could eat all of. Breakfast was similarly plentiful. I enjoyed soaking in the bath after bathing. The beds were comfortable. The location was away from the touristy area so it was quiet and calm. The staff was quite helpful and friendly. They called the taxi for us in the morning as well as called them back when it did not arrive on time. The staff was equally worried about us missing our ferry and follow-up connections.Guest review byLeeJapan
- From US$621.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,534 reviewsGreat location, close to Miyajima toori and omotesando shopping street. One of the hiking routes that leads up to mt Misen was also not far (as well as the way to the ropeway). The hotel had a shuttle bus to and from the ferry terminal with a friendly driver - this was very valuable for us, as we did not have to carry our luggages through the crowded streets. The dinner was great with lots of local specialities that we could try out.Guest review byDoraHungary

The staff is super attentive and very friendly. The onsen is great with one outside overlooking the O-Torii. Super recommended, if you plan to visit Miyajima be sure to book at least one night in this Hotel, you will never regret it. My congratulations to all the hotel staff. I fell in love with everything!!!Guest review byGuillermoArgentina

The staff were very friendly yet extremely polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and we wished we were staying for longer than just one night! Thank you very much!Guest review byAJersey
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 206 reviewsIt was really easy to find and conveniently located. The Japanese style room was really comfortable. The owner is so kind and friendly. She kept our bags for us so we could do some more exploring before catching the ferry back and gave us little Christmas gifts when we left which was a lovely gesture. One of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend.Guest review byCamillaUnited Kingdom
- From US$449.05 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,670 reviewsStayed for a honeymoon. Staff went ABOVE and BEYOND; personally handwritten note during dinner, honeymoon gift, amazing service throughout at check-in, kaiseki dinner, japanese breakfast (superior even compared to other part of japan), calling a free shuttle for us to the ferry port. First time at miyajiama and i will be back.Guest review byAndyYUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,247 reviewsWonderful dinner, onsen, breakfast, views from the room. We loved our stay! The shuttle makes it very convenient to get to the hotel, but it's a lovely walk if you would like to walk a little bit. The shuttle also runs at night if you want to take a night walk to see the Miyajima views in the night lights!Guest review byLarsonJapan
- From US$208.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,007 reviewsI chose sea view room. The view is amazing. I could even see the torii from Miyajima. The location is also amazing, next to the ferry and streetcar from Hiroshima train station. Breakfast is good. The moment I got inside the room, I was thinking, should I stay for one more night?Guest review byQiDenmark

The main reasson to visit was the Itsukushima Shrine but there was plenty of other shrines and temples to visit. The ropeway to Mt, Misen was great. The hike down not so much (not a trail, mainly steps - hard on the knees.Guest review byDeanUnited States - 10

Miyajima was great for walking around and doing the ropeway to the top. A lot of little eateries and street food- good if you like seafood. Scenic with the giant Tori gate and shrines, woods, deer walking around. Miyajima was one of my favorite spots on our trip to Japan.Guest review byMarciaUnited States - 10

It does get busy during the day when lots of tourists come over by ferry for the day however we hired bikes and managed to stay clear of the crowds for the most part. The Island becomes very quite in the evening which is perfect, I would advise that you book a restaurant as lots of the island closes around 5-6pm so anything that is open later gets booked up. We were very lucky to just get the last free table on two occasions. Also the deer wandering around especially in the dusk and evening before al the ferries drop off are enchanting, however they are not like the deer in Nara park and there are lots of signs that remind people not to feed or bother the deer, not everyone follows these rules which is disappointing.Guest review byDonnaUnited Kingdom
