Comfortable- the beds were so comfy. There was a gorgeous fire that you could sit around on an evening and enjoy your own food and drinks. They also had a lovely dinner and breakfast area. Kazu and his family were so unbelievably accommodating!!! Picking us up from the station and taking us into town when one of my friends was injured. Ski hire was easy and cheap through the hotel link. We also got discounted lift passes through the hotel voucher. All staff at the hotel were amazing. Really wonderful memories of Japow house, especially while winding down in the evenings with other guests, amidst the open and homely vibe. Myoko is an incredible region of fun, the mountains offer heaps of ski resorts with fantastic runs, lessons, places to dine and sit with a hot beverage or refreshen beer or sake. Its wonderful for both families and those who are daring to hit the slopes for thrills. The hotel shuttles, local buses and taxis make travel from resort to various slopes, very easy. The snow in Myoko is otherworldly.
The snow in Myoko is otherworldly. The powder is unimaginably great and really loved visiting Seki Onsen Ski Area. It's a small, family-owned ski area run by the Inoue Family who are the kindest and most hospitable people you'll find anywhere in Japan. Family-owned and run ski areas are in decline with large corporations buying up ski areas across Japan, so it was a real treat to ski at an area where the snow was perfect and you're supporting a local business. 10 our 10 for Seki Onsen Ski Area!Guest review byAaronUnited States - 10.0

Ski areas vary considerably in the area. Akakura Onsen has absolutely the worst lifts i have experienced in Japan. When they weren't broken down they were extremely slow. On the other hand Suginohara has a new gondola and modern 'high' speed lifts. This was the pick of the mountains to ski for me.Guest review byAnonymous
