- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,865 reviewsFood and Service. Best service and best staff ever. The dinner I ordered is more than enough. So great. And the view in public onsen is super with the Mt. Fuji just in front of you. And the shuttle bus is available upon your request regardless of time. This is super convenient.Guest review by桃子一只China

2 nights was too long, 1 night would have been plenty.
2 nights was too long, 1 night would have been plenty. Its easy to get around but the main bus/ train station is crazy busy. Its quite hectic and crowded, allow extra time to make up for the queues.Guest review byMichelleAustralia - 10
I recommend staying.
I recommend staying. I wrote a long review separately which I hope is useful; please refer to that. In addition, for young children, you can visit the sheep shed where they keep the sheep to see sheep up close, wander down and the up the hill behind reception, and get the best tasting soft serve ever from the restaurant!Guest review byDavinosJapan - 10

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 8.0
We really enjoyed the place, but it was a bit dead midweek.
We really enjoyed the place, but it was a bit dead midweek. There were some tourists, but not very many. It was good to have a car to explore. We went to -Kofu Castle Ruins (peak bloom time!) -Yamanashi Fruit Park -Maglev Exhibition Center We ate at -TREE Anthony's Kitchen (AMAZING Greek Food) -Kaosen Thai (eh)Guest review byPena - 10

Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.Guest review byVillageOneJapan - 8.0

Automatic check-in & check-out process, good point for those who love automation. There is always staff supporting this step. Breakfast is disappointing, has limited options, no fresh fruits. Close to the station and good noise isolation.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

We were able to take great pictures of Mt Fuji from our window. The onsen and buffet was great. The price was affordable for a group of 8 with free breakfast and dinner. The room was clean and Yukata was included. Highly recommendedGuest review byMiyoUnited States - 10

This is the best place in Fuji hands down!! You will not regret booking this place! It is conveniently located near main attractions! You must try local Italian restaurant La Luce!!! Best Italian we’ve had in our entire 45 day vacation!Guest review byPedrozaUnited States - 10

We stayed for just one night to have the amazing view and cheaper hostel prices. One night in yamanakako, one night in kawaguchico, is perfect. Yamanakako is quieter and less touristy, which is exactly what we wanted. However, the bus schedule limits how many places you can go cuz they come every 1 hrGuest review byLiCanada - 10

If you are looking to escape from tourist areas and visit the country side of Japan? Then this place is it! There is hot springs everywhere and it is near Mt Fuji so tons of mountains around. Incredibly serene and quieter than areas like Hakone. ( Hakone is VERY beautiful but tons of tourist)Guest review byElianaUnited States
