For those who are interested in literature, the city should offer some value. It has museums dedicated to both Dostoevsky and Abai. They both lived there for a while. There is some Soviet heritage, but it is getting harder and harder to find them. The anatomical museum is currently undergoing renovations, and the alley of Lenins is no more, presumably as they too are under renovations. The big statue of Lenin still stands though, which is a nice little addition to say the least. Food situation is a bit dire, for those who do not eat meat, but you will not starve.Guest review byMustafa SerdarTurkey
