Arrived at 3:30 am, after 24 hours of plane travel. Our hosts were everything you could hope for at that point. At the airport waiting for us at 3:20 am. Greeted with warm cheer and much helpful advice (even an offer of cold beer). Our cute little chalet was nothing fancy but great AC, comfortable bed and warm shower. In the morning, they took care of our SIM cards, got us to an ATM and a ride to train station. Great start to the trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage Negombo! The receptionists were the sweetest, we felt really welcome. The staff was really attentive and cared about us, going out of their way to make our stay great. The room was as described, the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the evening and morning swim at the pool, it was something magical! Our heartfelt compliments to the chef - we absolutely LOVED the food! In the morning, the cook prepared the breakfast from the coconut he harvested from the hotel's garden that same morning! The location is a bit remote, but also very calm and quiet. Walking around we could peek into the lives of common Sri Lankans. All in all, a great stay, recommended!

We came late at wetland resort they have made a nice welcome for us ,morning we have a nice breakfast and a nice little guy name silva was their for us all time ,he always help us anytime we wanted ..the owner where really amaizing person ,the lady was really amaizing well-done thanks again for the great tasty food that we eat really nice the devilled pork i recommend it.we do enjoy so much their and the pool was a breathtaking and medium hot woow you can stay the whole day night too woow..it was a pleasure staying with you and see you back really soon ..we grade you 2000%. A perfect first night. Getting in very late Danushka waited for us at the airport to take us to his lovely guest house. It had everything we needed, with thoughtful touches such as toothbrushes and tea/coffee, and lovely decorations in the room. The bed was really comfy and it was great to have aircon- all fantastic for the price. Danushka really went out of his way to help when we left our headphones in the taxi, ensuring they were returned to us. If you're looking for a place to sleep after a long flight before you begin your journey through Sri Lanka, and a friendly and welcoming host, this is for you!

Really nice spacious upper room with air con and great shower. Very clean and comfortable. Nice balcony to sit and have a coffee or drink. Sonja and Bernarde were great hosts. The rest of their staff was great too. The place is set back from the street so very quiet at night. I stayed there twice. Once with a friend for a night before she flew home and then came back a week later to stay the night before my flight. Nice to have a few beers adjacent the pool and go for swim after scootering around the north for a week. I had dinner there twice and both times it was great. I would stay again if I’m ever back in Sri Lanka.

Very convenient for a stay after/before an international flight, free taxi transfer. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the AC works well. The place is very nice, lots of nature, very well thought!     Hotel J is so close to my heart. I have stayed in the hotel alone for weeks when i used to undertake content writing jobs. Security, comfortable rooms, well maintained property with a pool and a nice beach frontage, friendly staff, peace and tranquility, lovely authentic food all at a super reasonable price.. I came here after 5 years with family and glad to see nothing has changed except for a lovely rooftop bar being added.. cocktails were all made of locally sourced ingredients and no reheated old food is served. All freshly cooked authentic food.. Highly recommend this place ❤

    One of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. We loved our stay here. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I would like to thank every employee who makes an effort to ensure comfort, especially Leshan, Supun, Stephan. Special thanks to the chef - the food and presentation were great, the buffet was varied and everything was very tasty. Comfortable and clean rooms, especially pleased with perfectly laundered bed linen and towels. Great location, clean beach. Definitely recommend.

    The superior room was lovely. It had an excellent view of the beach and one of the pools. The buffet breakfast was great with a wide selection of both western and Sri Lankan food. The beach was very nice and swimming in it was enjoyable. We were very impressed with Jetwing Sea Negombo. We liked it so much we came back again and stayed two nights in the deluxe room.

    Good mix of Western and Srilankan food, I and my wife loved the Srilankan food!! The resort faces the Negombo lagoon and we took a motorboat ride with Deva to the wetlands, it was very peaceful and tranquil with lots of birds, monkeys and also one moniter lizard. The peace and quiet of this resort takes away all the tension, and helps me relax and plan.

    Negombo is the perfect place to stay on your first or last day of your trip in Sri Lanka. It's really close to the airport, it has a nice beach, and there are a lot of good hotels. There's no tourist attraction around, but there's a few good restaurants also.

    Katunayake is a convenient location for travelers, especially those flying in or out of Bandaranaike International Airport. It’s a busy area with easy access to transportation and essential services, making it ideal for short stays before or after a flight. I stayed at Hello Airport Hotel during my time in Katunayake, and it was a great choice. The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, which made it perfect for my early morning departure. The location couldn’t be better for transit passengers. The check-in was smooth, the staff were polite, and the room was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, convenient stop near the airport, I’d definitely recommend Hello Airport Hotel.

    I hear from others Negombo was great area for the visitors also it is closer to CMB airport that was the reason I selected there. After I explore the area there are so many nice hotels are there to book and also heard down south area is becoming a good spot for the tourism than Negombo.

    We stayed here overnight after travelling around Sri Lanka. We did not expect the warmth and kindness we received. The room was very cheap, yet large, clean and the proprietor even gave us lifts locally to the shops etc.

    I like most of the thing is staff's response was excellent and very quiet and peaceful room. The hotel must be implemented to do below the mentioned points. 1: The hotel room needs to keep a dustbin. 2: The hotel must keep a bath towel inside the bathroom. 3; The Bathroom inside the slippers needs to be kept. Other than this everything is ok.

    Perfect one/two nights on arrival take a tuktuk tour its worth it and last night before you leave. Negombo is 30 mins to the main SRI Lankan Airport, much close than Colombo. Also all hotels have UK plug sockets which is useful

    I arrived too early BUT, as a result, had a GREAT pedicure and head/neck massage, about an hour in all. Perfect preparation for a 10.5 hour flight to London. Recommended go early snd indulge yourself.
