We only stayed one night before our Safari, but we loved it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the property is immaculate. Nice pool as well, and the restaurant is good. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Lankavatara 9 days and we had a wonderful and restoring experience. We choose the location because is very quite and immerse in the nature and after 10 days going around the island we needed a break before leaving. What make our stay unforgettable has been also the staff, all are very helpful and professional, from the staff at the reception, the staff at the restaurant, the staff who clean, and the staff at the spa. I loved everything about this place. I would like to start by commending Gayan, the host! He is probably the best and nicest host I've had in Sri Lanka. He sent me to the town FOC to get some of the best Sri Lankan food I've eaten, given me a free nature tour around the lake where we can see fruit bats and owls, arranged the safari at the most affordable rate I could find, had some of the most interesting conversations about plants, animals, Sri Lankan culture, etc. Everything in this place felt like a family home. We had tea at 4AM before the safari and was also welcomed back with a king coconut! The room was also amazingly clean, spacious, well decorated and came with an extra cooler fan because Tissa can get quite hot. I definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!

The place and the rooms are beautiful. The decoration perfectly fits the local atmosphere. The Mawella beach is a truly hidden gem, my favorite around Tangalle. The staff is doing a very good job (rooms are perfectly clean) and the food is delicious. The service remains 5-star even when some employees were in holidays (due to the local New Year). Special thanks to Zander who is always present and has built a wonderful place, respecting the local environment.

Resort is on great location, its so peacefull and nice. Rooms are very tidy, comfortable and super clean. Pool is great also, we spend hours there chillin' out. They have great restorant, food is amazing, we had dinner there 3 times and we loved all food there. Apsolutelly perfect. Personell is the highlight here, those people are amazing! Very profesional, on service all time, ready and capeable to help with any wish or desire. We felt like we are one big family. This is one of top 2 hotels where I been in my life traver experience. Thanks a lot, you are amazing!

We stayed for 4 nights in November 2022 and it was truly an amazing stay. Our room was facing the beautiful rough sea. We enjoyed the waves, they seem strong but it is actually safe to swim, it’s very shallow. There are delicious breakfast and dinners served at the cafe and you can order drinks and snacks throughout a day. Few things to note: - The place has just reopened after being closed for a couple of years. Some rooms are still getting their makeover. - The staff are all new and still learning their way around. The owner provides great guidance and is there if you have any questions that staff cannot answer. Please be patient with them. - This hotel is a home to three local dogs who are the friendliest creatures ever. They will often come to the guest for cuddles or just sleep in the shades under trees.

Clean rooms, clean garden, clean area, all day the hotel staff are working the keep everything clean and nice. If you are at Sri Lanka you know how rare the clean hotels. This is one of the few of the places where you feel the cleanest . Friendly and very kind owner !
