The castle and the grounds are stunning. Beautiful surroundings as well, with the cozy main street of Mettlach just a 5 minutes walk away. The rooms are very pretty (we had a suite, and the bathroom was like on a magazine cover), and you can enjoy a very stylish breakfast on lovely V&B porcelains. A truly chateau stay!

    The room was clean, and had all amenities you would need in a hotel room. The staff were beyond helpful in providing things if something was needed (we needed some extra sheets), to explaining stuff, and providing direction. We didn't have breakfast, but we had dinner one night and the staff in the restaurant were attentive, explaining things clearly, and working fast. The food we had at that time was good, filling and delicious. Additionally, if you are with a Tesla the chargers in front of the hotel are a godsend. In the 4 nights we spent there, there were always at least 1-2 free whenever we needed it, so they are no overly populated. The free parking in front of the hotel was unfortunately always full and the street parking had some spots free here and there (it was free after 18:00 until 08:00 the next day) and so finding car parking can be a bit tricky. But with the underground parking garage of the hotel (paid) there's always place to park if you pay.

    Everything about this hotel was just awesome, really comfy rooms, proximity to the bus stop, really good location, and a well laid out plan. it is well connected to the center with a regular bus service and is free to travel via public transport. They also have free parking so it was all very good.

    Luxembourg has so much to offer.

    Luxembourg has so much to offer. Take advantage of the free transportation. You may have to rent a car to get to more remote locations; like Vianden Castle or Mullerthal. The history of the country is amazing and the shopping and food are great. We spent a week and barely touched the surface.

    We technically stayed in Orscholz, which is a smaller hamelt of Mettlach. It's right where the Saarschleife is as well as a number of biking and hiking trails. We only did the Saarschleife and the Spielplatz, but could have spent a couple days there!

    Mondorf-les-Bains is a charming town with over 5,000 inhabitants located near the Luxembourg Moselle River. Home to the only casino and the only spa and fitness center in the Grand Duchy, it benefits from all the advantages of a big city: -Everything close to home, -Easily accessible by public transport, -Many leisure and recreational opportunities, -Fascinating architecture and cultural heritage, -Many shops, A wide selection of hotels and restaurants. In short, an ideal place to relax and recharge every day.

    It's a wonderful place.

    It's a wonderful place. Luxembourg City itself can be explored in a day or two, so if you're planning a longer stay, be sure to rent a car and explore the rest of this magnificent country. Luxembourg City is beautiful, clean, and safe. It's worth walking around the impressive fortifications, seeing the cathedral, the ducal palace (open in summer), and the beautiful townhouses. If you have more time, you can visit the museums: I especially recommend the Municipal Museum and Fort Thüngen. An unforgettable experience!

    Mettlach is a charming small town in Germany with many good shops. The church is also impressive. There are a lot of very nice hikes easily accessible from there offering tranquility and interesting landscape alongside the river Saar, for example. Burg Montclair, the remains of a castle on the hill, is also accessible and you can get coffee and cake until the end of October.

    Our family visit to Luxembourg was truly memorable. The city is spotless, beautifully organized, and incredibly easy to get around thanks to its free and efficient public transportation. Everywhere we went, we were met with friendliness and warmth from the locals, which made our stay even more enjoyable Highlights included the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Grand Ducal Palace, Place Guillaume II, and especially the Bock Casemates — a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage site that takes you deep into the city’s history. The panoramic Pfaffenthal Elevator offered breathtaking views of the valley and old town, while the Melusina statue reminded us of the city’s magical legends. Luxembourg may be small, but it is rich in culture, history, and charm. A hidden gem in Europe that we would highly recommend to any traveler looking for a mix of history, beauty, and modern comfort.

    A quiet place with all we needed. A good place to do sightseeing, by bike, on foot, by car. Great place to be in the garden as well. Not a lot of eating places but the kitched is well equiped. You can easily cycle into Luxembourgh or France.

    This is an upscale spa where guests can go to get away from it all and get pampered in a variety of ways with excellent food and all the necessary comforts. We used it as our home base to see family and attend the Formula 1 at Spa Franchorchamps. It is totally suitable for spa activities, just staying at a wonderful hotel for other reasons, and to get away from it all.
