The welcome from Ahmad at reception was astounding, he really took care of us and made sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. The other staff we met during our stay were equally friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and clean. The location is convenient for exploring the Chefchaouen medina.

Great hotel just on the border of the Medina - 2min walk right into the heart of the old town. Modern and chic with great facilities. Clean and tidy bathroom and room kept cool with AC. Staff are friendly and helpful - they helped us organise a taxi to the bus stop and gave us recommendations on where to eat and see the best sunset in town. They even let us store our luggage whilst we waited for our bus after checkout. Many thanks to Lamya and the other hotel staff :)

In a great place but still off a little to the side that it’s quiet at night. Staff were lovely and they even cooked us breakfast in the morning on the nice roof terrace.

    Dar Zambra is a wonderfully decorated and spacious hotel located in the city of Chefchaouen. The blue colors of the room matched the theme of the city and provided a refreshing atmosphere. The room was magnificent, and the hotel features a unique layout with a bedroom and a room with two sofas, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the ambiance. The breakfast on the terrace was delightful and very traditionally based. The view of Chefchaouen from the terrace was breathtaking, providing a beautiful start to the day. The service was outstanding, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The toilet comes with shampoo and showering gel, meaning you do not need to worry about bringing your wash products. The hotel has excellent hygiene standards, and the room provided was clean and tidy. One exceptional feature of the hotel was its staff's thoughtful nature. They went above and beyond their duties to drive us down to the CTM bus station, ensuring our comfort and convenience. In conclusion, Dar Zambra is a fantastic hotel with excellent amenities and friendly staff. The view of Chefchaouen from the terrace is impressive, and the breakfast provided is traditional and delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chefchaouen.

    Location was great, just outside the medina. Lovely view of the mountains and the Spanish mosque. Kamal and the rest of the staff were so kind and helpful during our two night stay. Breakfast was good at 40mad pp. Kamal helped arrange taxis for us to the bus station and to the grand cascade d’akchour. Overall a great stay and very good value!!

    Casa Hassan was the most beautiful riad we stayed at in all the cities we visited in Morocco (and we stayed at some very lovely riads). The decor, the attention to detail, the incredible bedding, and very helpful staff were all top notch. And you can not beat the location if you want to be in the old madina.

    Chefchaouen is an amazing historic city.

    Chefchaouen is an amazing historic city. So much to see and do. Spend the morning on a hike and come back for the market and a tagine. I would like to have had a beer but I survived, lol. Our guide Abdul was a beautiful human being. He enriched our trip so much. His deep explanation of Ramadan was an inspiration. The solidarity with all people and the egalitarian aspects were something that I had not formerly considered. It is a bonding with all of humanity. Abdul showed us the secret spots of this ancient city and I am better for it.

    Picturesque but very touristy and an excess of street vendors selling many crafts which likely come from China (are not made locally). Extremely hot when we went in July. Very important to get a decent guest house with air conditioning. 2 days is more than enough.

    Yes, it's touristy, but it's so particular with all its blue buildings, in the midst of beautiful nature, that it's a must. Be prepared to climb a few hills! Favourite restaurant: The Twins in the square. Had a few good meals just people watching, and really cheap!
