We had a great stay at this hotel, just a short 5 minute walk the Old Town. The parking is conveniently located underneath the hotel – but it’s really tight so it’s best if you have a small car! Our suite had a comfortable king bed, spacious lounge, 2 flat screen TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and a good bathroom. The owner and reception staff were super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good! We also had a memorable dinner at the hotel restaurant. This is a very well managed hotel and restaurant.

I asked the hotel to provide a quiet room. The room faced the mountains oppsite to the sea front. It was quiet and nice. Breakfast was delicious with local buns, pies, fried eggs and generous lumps of bacon! Wifi in the room was good enough to use WhatsApp telephony.

There is simply no mistake with this hotel, the best recommendations. Let me not forget, we got a room upgrade, a beautiful suite with a sea view, many thanks to the hotel staff. Parking is also available, which was very important to us since we came with a car.

This is categorically, definitely an indubitably the best hotel we have ever stayed at ever. 💓❤️‍🔥 We have stayed at many hotels over our travels and this by far is the best. 😊👍It's not just the best because of the hotel itself, the rooms are impeccable and also the best room we've ever stayed in with the most beautiful views of the sea and a double balcony. Not just for the amazing spas and swimming pools here. It is truly for the level of care, kindness and love shown by everybody who works here. I don't truly know where to begin with our "thank yous" for everyone. 💞Firstly Jovana, David and Jasmina on the front desk and everybody else who works there, Tijana, Elza and Svetlana (for her wonderful massage too) and to the bar/restaurant staff and maids (with the best cocktails) and Igor, Andrea, Milica, Milena and Anna and to the chef Stefan (who cooked us THE best Sea food platter we have ever eaten), the managers and everybody else I may have missed, sorry if I did. You all deserve a raise in salary and are by far the best team individually and as a group! 😁😁😁💞You have made our stay the best ever.❤️‍🔥 We were only staying for a short while but stayed longer because of you all, your care and love, compassion, kindness and help have all been amazing. Really liked the small old town in Budva.

Really liked the small old town in Budva. It doesn't get too many tourists ( like Kotor) so is less crowded and more tranquil. I didn't like the fact you had to pay to walk along a part of the walled town. There are lots of small food places there (selling pizza, sandwiches, byreks, cakes), which is great and absent in lots of these type of places.

Old Town Kotor is beautiful. It is small and very walkable. My husband and I did not walk up the 1000+ steps to the monastery, but others in our group did and said it was amazing. Kotor Bay is stunning! The waters are so blue and the mountains surrounding this entire are breathtaking. It was the perfect location for a destination wedding! (Our daughter was married in St. Tryphon's Cathedral! It was absolutely fairytale perfect!)

I recently spent a few days in Tivat, Montenegro, and...

I recently spent a few days in Tivat, Montenegro, and honestly, I was surprised by how much I fell in love with this little coastal town. It’s small, calm, and effortlessly beautiful — the kind of place that doesn’t try too hard to impress you but still totally does. The first thing that caught my eye was Porto Montenegro. It’s stunning — full of fancy yachts, chic restaurants, and designer shops, but somehow it doesn’t feel pretentious. I loved walking along the marina in the evenings, gelato in hand, watching the sun dip behind the mountains. It’s glamorous, sure, but also relaxed in that easy Mediterranean way. One of my favorite days was spent at Plavi Horizonti Beach. The water there is ridiculously clear, and it’s shallow enough to just float around for hours. I also took a quick hike up Vrmac Hill, which gave me the most incredible views over the Bay of Kotor — definitely worth the effort! What I really appreciated about Tivat was the balance. You can have a fancy dinner overlooking the marina one night, and the next, enjoy a quiet meal at a local restaurant where the seafood tastes like it came straight from the ocean (because it probably did). Agape (in Porto) was my absolute favourite. 1000/10. Tivat might not be as famous as Kotor or Budva, but that’s part of its charm. It feels peaceful, safe, and genuinely welcoming. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, soak up some sun, and enjoy good food with even better views, Tivat is absolutely worth adding to your travel list.

I visited both Tivat and Kotor, but the Herceg Novi area is definitely the best place to stay around the Bay of Kotor: the most beautiful, cleanest, calmest, nicest vibe, better price level (e.g. accommodation, restaurants, etc.).

I'm afraid my impression of Bar was that it was industrial, a bit ugly and not very well looked after.(Sorry Bar, maybe I didn't go to the right places!) Wanting to visit places that are not yet wholly given over to tourism, is a two edged sword; it means that the 'pretty views' are often obscured by something utilitarian and not pretty! I took a taxi boat to Sutomore beach, which was a lovely trip and incredibly good value. The beach and water was fabulous but I think every person in the whole of Montenegro had had the same idea and the beach was extremely crowded. My reason for visiting Bar was to do the train journey from Bar to Belgrade, which I had read was one of the most beautiful in Europe. It did not disappoint and made me forgive Bar everything!

Ulcinj beach area is for the most part quite dirty and littered. There are people prepared to scam you readily. We did like the fortress area and found a cleaner beach near there (Liman Beach) that we quite liked.

Perast is a magical place, almost removed from time.

Perast is a magical place, almost removed from time. The situation on the waterside surrounded in all sides by mountains is breathtaking. The walk along the promenade each evening is a rare pleasure. There are plentiful good restaurants inside Perast itself as well as local oyster and mussels farms a short walk from the town, that serve delicious food. The boat trip to the island and the Blue Cave is also well worth doing.

Sutomore is a cozy and fairly quiet town, without much nightlife or loud activities — a great place for those who prefer a calm seaside rest. Just a small tip for travelers arriving from the airport: be careful when choosing a taxi, and it’s safer to use official ones.

From the sveti stefan bus stop, it’s very easy to get around, buses to Budva Old Town run every 20 minutes, cost €2.5 one way, and take about 20 minutes. Taxi from Tivat airport is around €55–60 and takes about 40 minutes. For food, we often bought frozen homemade dishes from a Ukrainian shop in Budva, which were really tasty.

Overall, a great place, every recommendation for the hotel.

Overall, a great place, every recommendation for the hotel. Great stuff, great food. Beautiful place, a lot of attention paid to nature. I was particularly impressed by the olive trees in the yard, and the attention paid to their preservation.
