- From US$35 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 79 reviewsExcellent location. Five minutes walking to the night food market. And five minutes walking to the boat area. The staff, even though they did not know English, tried their best to make the stay comfortable. I was there for four days and then my wife joined me and we continued for another 4 days. The owner ensured that we felt at home. She arranged the boats for us, helped us with money exchange, and with the bus tickets. Everything was amazing. Great breakfast. Laundry. Free cycles to roam around. And lots of nice people around. Inle is just getting opened. During our week at Inle, there were just two other guests in the hotel.Guest review byNikhilIndia

I have been to this town on several previous occasions, (I live in Myanmar, and have an educational charity and donate at the various orphanages). Due to the current 'situation' in Myanmar, there are very few foreign tourists in Nyaung Shwe, and many larger hotels, restaurants and shops that cater to foreign tourists are closed. However, the locality is very safe and the local people are very friendly and helpful. The internet is relatively stable, but take a torch with you because the electricity supply to the town is only available for a few hours each day. Larger hotels have generators, but smaller hotels do not!Guest review bySimonThailand
