Its in a prime location and across there is the beach. Also something that i have never found was that after check out we stayed at the beach or by the pool till it was time for the taxi to come for us above that they had a shower where one coukd have a shower before leaving. That was a bonus

Very private property, super easy to disconnect from everything. The garden is great, lots of trees and plants, all creating a beautiful scenery. The chalet is very nice, super clean, the bed and the pillows are the most comfortable we have ever seen. We slept super well. The staff is very helpful and happy to help.     I will rate the service 10/10. The staffs provide such an amazing service that for the first time of my life, I didn't have a complain, my husband was astonished too by the service. The staff was very nice to my parents, to myself, the reason Im stating this is because we are Mauritian and sometime because of being local, most hotel staffs tends to forget that we are paying for the same service as a foreign tourist and lack to give the local the proper service. I paid for one night and extend for a second night. Value for money. The place is clean and they really accommodate for your needs. The staffs at the restaurant will watch every step, clean your table or plate, pull the chair for you to sit, without asking, and help you to carry plates. The Spa was also a wonderful experience. I took the beach front view, is where you get the best view of the resto, beach

I celebrated my birthday.and was upgraded on both rooms that.were booked. That was a.really.nice.and unexpected touch. Service in restaurants was amazing. Very good choice of food in the. All day dining restaurant. The only.negative side was during check in we were not informed that we.can dine in.Sugar Beach.as well on HB. We wanted to try.one of their restaurants which was on the beach and were kicked out but later found out that we could eat in their restaurants.

    Loved the location, the food, the quality of drinks, the easy relaxed beach, the comfy pool, the room was really nice and I had a great sea view - after a small debate with the staff who tried to put me in the annex across the road. Hold your ground and they'll make sure you're in the main resort. Honestly this was a fabulous stay and I would come back. I really enjoyed how sweet the staff were. Ray on the beach, happy birthday to your little girl! You deserve a raise and all the tips. I was so welcomed and it was lovely.

    Direct access to a private beach with beach furniture and umbrellas, as well as F and B service. Excellent breakfast, The best pancakes during our visit to Mauritius. Great rooms with beautiful sea view. The gardens were beautiful and well kept, with abundant bird life. The Management staff were efficient and provided a most friendly service; very accommodating to all our needs.

    The beach outside Sands and the other hotels are beautiful, unspoilt white sands, however the public beach part further north is busier with people and cars on the road, and lots of fast food vans, cheap bars etc.

    Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.

    It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.

    We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.

    this is amazing place, the view is breathtaking, the chalet is spacious, very calm, the food is satisfying and the staff is very supportive and helping. it is ideal for a short stay as if you would like to do more tours the location is bit far from everything and very challenging to reach. the best is to stay there and visit the nearby places around Chamarel.

    Albion is a Mauritian village , located on the West Coast off the beaten track & away from the tourist holiday hot spots. There is a local palm shaded beach with toilets & changing facilities, to enjoy safe swimming & magnificent sunsets. Food & other supplies are available at the local Albion Mall Dodo Supermarket Living with the local Mauritians enhanced our holiday experience as we got the know some of these friendly and gentle people. You will need a hire car and Google Maps to get around

    Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).

    La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly.

    La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly. Le Morne (which is very close) is the only place nearby with a nice beach, but it is widely occupied by luxury hotels. another problem with La Gaulette is that it is not usable as a base for visiting Mauritius, becasue is far away from all main attractions except 7 color earth and Black River falls.
