An experience not available in most of the resorts in Maldives. The villa has universal power outlets. We came on a early morning flight and the staff at the airport immediately guided us to the seaplane. We reach the resort pretty early around 7:00 a.m.. The staff greeted us warmly. And we were given early check-in as luckily they were available rooms at that time. But it was very courteous of them. The resort is a small one but exactly what we wanted. An experience of living with our own private beach which we could have all to ourselves! There may not be too many activities but we knew that already. Just experience in itself of the unique rooms in the resort with private beaches is amazing and we did not see in other resorts before. The villas are separated by trees and plants which are dense enough to give the freedom and privacy that we wanted. We were supposed to go to another resort and Nika staff arrange everything for us and coordinated with the other resort. They even gave us late check out luckily because of availability. The resort is very accommodating to the needs of the guests. We would specifically want to thank Mr Hussain at reception, our room boy Mr Anees and personal waiter Mr Nadheem. The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄 The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello. There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food. There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists. We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways. Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got.
