The historic center was enjoyable the rest of the city not so much. I liked interacting with people at the museums. The city center is the most interesting part but was impressed by the economic and industrial progress.Guest review byjoseUnited States - 8.0
The area is old-school Mexico but charming.
The area is old-school Mexico but charming. It's not for older seniors that like to walk with uneven streets and sidewalks in the Amapas Area. Great Mexican food and especially tacos. Relatively safe to be walking around.Guest review bySheilaUnited States - 8.0

If you're renting a cabin with family or friends, this would be wonderful as a relaxing and beautiful stay. If you're not doing that, the place is a bit of a tourist trap. There are things to do, but they will cost $$$.Guest review byChristopherUnited States - 10.0
Beautiful pueblo Tequila jalisco is.
Beautiful pueblo Tequila jalisco is. Much history and Canteritos el güero outside centro tequila is a most to go visit for cervezas, Canteritos of all sizes, good food and many banda groups playing in the largest outdoor bar i have ever seen. It holds about 2,000-3,000 people dailyGuest review byStevenUnited States - 8.0
Ajijic was very nice, especially as it was the off-season.
Ajijic was very nice, especially as it was the off-season. I enjoyed the town. I would have liked it better if there were not so many expats. I wanted more of an opportunity for speaking Spanish, but I kept running into people who could not speak Spanish or did not want to speak Spanish. For Spanish, I had to take a bus to go to Chapala. I was later told that 70% of the population of Ajijic is expats and that Chapala was about 5% expats. (This was told to me by an expat couple and verified by others, including people who were non-English-speaking.) Ajijic was still very nice and I enjoyed walking around it. I just didn't get to speak as much Spanish as I would have liked.Guest review byRickUnited States - 10.0
Such a great little town.
Such a great little town. We came in the off season so it wasn't too crowded. There are many bars and restaurants that have their own style and personality. The sunsets were amazing and the people were very friendly. It's easy to get around town but I would recommend renting a golf cart or car because of the humidity. We never had a bad meal there, even the pizza from the street vendor was tasty.Guest review byChristopherUnited States - 4.0

The main square in the town and the few streets surrounding the hotel were really nice. However, many facilities are not open except on the weekends. Then again, I would have no desire to go there on the weekend because of the crowds. The trip to Las Piedrotas was great and very close ( 5 minute drive) from town.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 10.0
Beautiful City with a small Pueblo feel.
Beautiful City with a small Pueblo feel. Everything was within a small walk or quick taxi ride. The ease of the Oxxo (Like 7-11) and its hours of operation left me never needing anything. The Cities Centro and it’s Mercadito was a true delight, filled with eating options and small stores selling everything from small knickknacks to fresh fruits and vegetables. The vendors around the mercadito gave it such a delightful surprise and it’s recommended for any travelers.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
It is a beautiful in and around Guadalajara.
It is a beautiful in and around Guadalajara. The tours were great but I recommend taking the tour to Tequila the day before or two days before you leave and wait to buy your “jarito” on the last stop. It’s a great way to end a vacation. I’m not a drinker and I enjoyed it!!! Find the Tequila sign, there’s a 10/12 year old boy that takes magnificent pictures.Guest review byChrstinaUnited States - 8.0
A wonderful city, just like all resort towns.
A wonderful city, just like all resort towns. It is located in a bay, so you get a view of the city from almost any point. The streets are filled with souvenir shops and places where you can taste tequila. The waterfront is well-maintained, with a beautiful pedestrian area that’s perfect for a walk. From almost anywhere in the city, you can easily get around by bus, which is much cheaper than taking a taxi.Guest review byIrishka04Ukraine
