- From $672.44 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 419 reviewsEverything about our stay at Amomoxtli was exceptional! From the moment we checked in with Edgardo, we felt taken care of. The grounds, pool and mountain views are gorgeous, and all the staff are so kind and helpful. We enjoyed massages at the spa and took advantage of the daily meditation and yoga practices. We so appreciated the little details like our morning coffee/treat basket and a welcome kit with pool essentials and bug spray. The breakfast is also extremely generous and delicious! Overall, this was the perfect getaway from Mexico City for a few days and we cannot wait to come back.Guest review byVictoriaCanada
- From $139.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 650 reviewsThis historic hotel is stunning, and had the staff to match. The grounds were lovely to roam by day or night. There wa a large wedding on site but I didn't hear a peep and slept like a baby. The hacienda's hotel is surely the best pool I've ever swam in. The restaurant food was fantastic. I will definitely be returning.Guest review byJanetUnited States

Great weather, in the centre of town there are several Mexican food restaurants and not Mexican restaurants. There is a great craft market and a few museums and gardens, all within walking distance. Cuernavaca is also a good starting point for other truly Mexican towns, like Taxco or Malinalco.Guest review byVladimir - 8.0

I was there to hike, during the green rainy season it's a fun destination. A couple restaurants were above average but it's not a foodie destination. Fun shopping and really pretty area. Easy to get around, really you can walk all over, but there are plenty of taxis and little buses as well both around town and to nearby towns.Guest review byAmy BethUnited States - 8.0

I stayed at the hotel because we went to Six Flags Hurricane Harbour for the weekend, after I saw some information about the surrounding water springs I wish I could´ve stayed for a couple more days to visit the waterfall and river as well as the historical buildings like the church and convent. You can walk all around Oaxtepec if you wish to do so and there is a regular bus service to and from Mexico City. There are many fondas and little places to eat that have inexpensive and delicious food like pozole, quesadillas and all sort of tacos,as well as nice shrimp or burger restaurants, even some food chains like little caesars pizza and sushi itto.Guest review byTanyaMexico - 8.0

Only stayed for 1 night since I was there to attend a wedding near by. There is really nothing to do around there apart from attending events in the nearby locations for weddings etc. It is not safe to walk around here, Cuernavaca in general is not save to walk.Guest review byVanessaMexico - 10.0

The Brady Museum was nice...very nicely designed spaces on a hill...by the Franciscan monks initially. By the valley of the creek road, there is a guy with 3 vintage cars, 1941, 1951, 1959...american cars, a Hudson, a Chrysler, a Ford--also, the guy is next to his son..the Aquarium and fish store..he has wonderful rock jewelry made of jade, amethyst, quartz, local basalt...the main cathedral is worth a look...also a great bird sanctuary only open on Sundays..big bazaar on Sunday Afternoon but Brady is closed on Mondays.Guest review byAndreCanada - 10.0

We were there for a family wedding, which was a delightful 3 day celebration. Many good restaurants and shops. We recommend La Ciruela restaurant and Los Colorines in particular. I am bilingual so I can't comment on language problems. Re shopping, be aware that there is a lot poor quality cheap stuff, but good quality textiles, beaded jewelry and minerals/crystals were good buys. Also, I bought ground(powdered) mole in the market to bring home. Agustina had 6 varieties and let me sample them all. Gabriel's taxi service was wonderful for getting us to and from Mexico City and the wedding venues. Very safe, reliable and reasonable cost. Be aware that walking involves rough cobblestone streets and steep hills.Guest review bySusan CUnited States - 10.0

Tepoztlan is an enchanting place: colorful, beautiful, relaxing and historically interesting. Climbing to the summit of El Tepozteco was definitely challenging for us (both seniors,) but we made it and it was quite thrilling to gaze at the landscape below. We really liked wandering in the lovely former Dominican Convent which was built in around 1530. The street markets were great, particularly impressive were the handmade textiles. We were told about the ice cream in advance -- there are several big ice cream parlours on the main street -- and it is really good and comes in every imaginable flavour.Guest review bySusanCanada
