- From $140.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 4,919 reviewsWe recently stayed five nights at Hotel Kaboom in Maastricht. This is my 4th time staying at Kaboom. As always it is an excellent choice for our trip. The hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient—it’s right across from the train station, with a parking garage just down the street. For coffee lovers, there’s a fantastic coffee shop next door, and the Albert Heijn grocery store in the station is open late, which came in handy. There’s also a Starbucks in the station for a quick pick-me-up. The area is lively, with plenty of stores, restaurants, and cafés within walking distance, making it a great base for exploring the city. Breakfast at the hotel was a typical Dutch spread—simple but satisfying, with fresh bread, cheeses, and more to start your day. Overall, Hotel Kaboom offers a perfect mix of convenience, comfort, and accessibility, making it an ideal choice for a stay in Maastricht. We’d happily stay here again!Guest review byChantalleUnited States
- From $254.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,255 reviewsEverything was excellent, especially considering that the hotel was having some renovation work done and there were clearly issues with IT and some organisation due to one building being out of action. But considering those handicaps the place did remarkably well and the dogs absolutely adored it - wonderful, safe country walking, their first geese, plenty of interesting artworks ......and total peace and quiet. I would put in a special mention for the excellent , charming service - nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The dogs would say, if they could, that they LOVED their smart khaki padded beds, the generous bowls of dog treats, the designer poo bags and the admiring pats from one of the staff, who slipped them a few extra nibbles.....Guest review byMargaret TUnited Kingdom
- From $141.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 3,309 reviewsThe location was amazing and magical. Beautiful grounds to walk and explore. A lovely walkway from the property to a very inexpensive fully electric bus system that drives into Maastricht. A train option is located there as well. Very easy to use and we appreciated that we could use this instead of driving into the city center. The staff that manages check-in and check-out, the bar, restaurant and breakfast area were all very kind and helpful. I highly recommend booking a table for dinner, as well as setting up the breakfast option during your stay. You will not be disappointed. We also loved that this was a dog friendly property. We loved all the green spaces and the quiet away from the city. Our next trip back to Europe we will stay here again 100%.Guest review byShannonBelgium
- From $429.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,287 reviewsThe staff was very friendly, the facilities were pristine, the room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The sauna was well worth the price of admission and so was the breakfast: plenty of fresh, tasty options to choose from. Definitely if ever presented with the opportunity, I would book a stay in this hotel again.Guest review byinterim_handleLatvia

Maastricht is a fantastic beautiful city.
Maastricht is a fantastic beautiful city. It's peaceful, clean, tidy and with lots of amenities. It has an old historic medieval centre, and a more modern centre, good restaurants and other shops. It feels like its citizens have a very good decent life. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Everyone spoke English. We felt welcomed and had a wonderful time. I would like to go back and be able to spend a few days longer to get to know the city better.Guest review byEnricUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Apart from the market there is not much to do in Sittard.
Apart from the market there is not much to do in Sittard. Shopping is the usual, but the street is long and there is no ambiance. Main time to visit Sittard is during festivals (Carnival, St Joep and Octoberfest).Guest review bychrisNetherlands - 8.0
A tidy and relaxed town.
A tidy and relaxed town. We liked the mining museum, which was unpretentious but well-presented and very-well explained in English/German/Dutch by a local guy with connections to the industry. The other big draw is the Roman baths (extensive unearthed foundations of the whole complex, nicely presented inside a large modern warehouse structure). Rail station is not far from Tulip hotel and is well-served to Aachen and Maastricht.Guest review byAdrian - 8.0

Kerkrade is a very nice town in the south of the Netherlands. We visited nearby places like Heerlen and Vaals and we visited the Botanic Garden in Kerkrade. Of course we needed to buy the local cake: Vlaai. Especially the Cherry Vlaai was superb!Guest review byCoenNetherlands - 10.0
Our accommodation was very clean and spacious.
Our accommodation was very clean and spacious. Bungalows were pretty new. Good location for cycling trips, walking. Small footbal/basketball pitch. Large swimming pool, unfortunately not heated. Water was clean and warm enough for swimming, but too cold for chilling out with the kids. I will come back there. Great discovery on my list of weekend stay places.Guest review byTomaszNetherlands - 4.0

Very difficult to find how to access the entrance to the hotel …. Needs to be better signposted even trying to gain entry to the hotel was difficult. Saw a barrier that was closed and didn’t know how we were supposed to get past it …reversed back and drove around probably the wrong way to get into the car parking area . Disabled parking was not clearly marked….it must have taken a total of 30 minutes to sort out where and what we needed to do to enter the hotel . What a shame for our first impressions, but the disappointment just grew due to other aspects of our stay .cold , poor menu’s lacking in comfort all round .Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

One of the best places to take as your base for a hiking weekend in the "Dutch Mountains" of Limburg province. There are abundantly many signed walking and cycling routes in the forests, along the Geul river and through the little villages. We were here for an overnight stay, on our way back from an Expo in Germany. This was in the second week of October, and foliage just started. We consider going back for a weekend in a week or two.Guest review byJacquesNetherlands - 10.0

Maastricht is a beautiful, quaint, pedestrian friendly city with cobblestones streets, al fresco dining, wonderful shopping, heritage, architecture and much much more. Take a walk along the city wall, have coffee by the river, visit the beautiful churches, tour the university, shop, eat, chill...so much to do (and English is common). Enjoy!Guest review byConrad - 10.0
