Very nicely equipped and decorated place, I'd recommend it for people who want to visit Tromso but don't want to spend their money in expensive hotels. The location is well connect to the city by bus (30/40 minutes to city center)

AustraliaHouse of Ellie was fantastic. It is located at the end of a fjord so the anpartment and bedroom window looks across the fjord. We were there for almost midnight sun and Ellie set up chairs for us outside when we arrived. Spectacular views. It’s also located next to our favourite Tromso cafe. The room was very clean, extremely comfortable and had a fridge. Ellie was so helpful and very responsive to messages. We liked it so much that we’ve booked again for our return to Tromso in a few weeks.

We also tried the jacuzzi which was so cozy. Perfect location too, mostly if you have a car to do day trips to the fjords all around. The staff was super nice and in general we absolutely loved our stay there, recommend 200% !

I didn't expect that the apartment that I rent was that big. It is excellent and it face directly to the sea (west). The place is not totally isolated, there are some houses nearby. Still, you will need a car. The bed is okay, just the top bunk bed is squeaky. Other facility is also work like brand new.
If you have the intention to catch the aurora, it will not be as easy as going out to your balcony and saw one. In most of the time, you will need to go to a slightly remote area. The balcony facing west when normally aurora spread from north to south. You can walk a bit in the neighbourhood but behind the apartment, there's a hill that will block the way. Again, it might not always happened likat what I describe. You must have your car and hunt the aurora to a dark area where there is no light. And, if you stay here, we are only talking about 2 to 10 Km away to find such location.

Very nice, spacious, warm and comfortable accommodation in a beautiful location. Quiet surroundings, not far away but away from the city, easy to find.
Spacious, well-equipped kitchen, nice living room with a fireplace and breathtaking views. Amazing sunrise in the morning.
The host was very friendly, we took his advice and bought groceries in Tromso before our arrival to the house, as there is no shop nearby.
We had a lovely stay, thank you!

The hotel is wonderful. Rooms are very cozy, you can adjust your own temperature. Bathroom was specious. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast selection was spectacular, so many varieties from warm foods to tasty croissants and even selection of plant based milks. The location is perfect, away from the city, but within reach or some hiking options and of course the northern lights are clearly visible there.

Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to...
Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to explore it. Sunshine is a rarity. End of season mid August. Place for camper vans to park. One shop and one cafe. You can buy only beer in a shop, no alcohol. For a harder spirits you need to travel to Tromso. Bring your food if you can, shops sells very simple and not very good staff. More or less decent meal you can have in an arctic hotel, which is pricey and just ok, no more, choice is limited.

I enjoyed the amazing views as well as the peaceful environment. The apartment was neat and had everything I needed.
The bus ride into town was a great way to see more of Tromso even though it was 30 minutes each way. I loved it.

Yggdrasil farmhotel retreat & spa was great. Elegant. Maria, the host, talented chef, created beautiful and delicious meals. Restaurant is classy with beautiful views. Hike up to the cabin was fun. Great scenery. Stayed another day...it was that nice.

The apartment is a little ways from the main city but the check in lady was kind enough to share some tips on how we can move around to and from the city. The norwegian bus system is pretty accurate in terms of timing and very easy for us foreigners to buy the tickets etc.
However, because the apartment is bit far away, the bus line that takes you around the area will close rather early so you might have to resolve in taking a cab. They are also closed on Sunday and very limited times on Satuday. (Note, this is not the main public bus transport in Tromso but the public bus (that takes you to Tromso...)
The apartment itself is super lovely, we saw the aurora from our place on the day we arrived. The view is just insane with the mountains and the waters, i highly recommend this place and if i ever were to come back here, i'd definitely stay with them again

we had snow a fantastic car a nice place fantastic host and great guides .
a super supermarket with fresh fish and superb meat .. plenty of veg
we saw the Aurora borealis twice, one even from the terrace at home..
the reindeers free and in with the SAMi people.
we did few short drive around to see the fiord at day and night.. ( well we had 3 jh light a day
we rest we had twice dinner out in Tromso and in Skogfiords
we had super company for chasing the first night the l nordic lights called Wandering Owl ..all was magic .

The location, the host, the place and everything was absolutely incredible – 5-star experience!!!
The host was always there to support us with whatever we needed or could think of – thank you so much!
The location itself is slightly remote with a most stunning view of the sea. We connected with the locals, eat fresh fish, swam in the sea, saw dolphins, ... and the list goes on.
We had the most beautiful and peaceful time staying at Buvic.

Very clean comfy cozy apartment in a mountain setting. Very beautiful area to drive around. Northern lights can be watched from a nearby location. Phillip helped with aurora locations and local attractions. Enjoyed our stay 20 min away from city center and around fjords.
