- From US$475.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 282 reviewsEverything !! We were lucky to be in the executive suite nbr 2 which is the best room of the hotel. We had an amazing view on the forest and the sea, and the hot tub all for ourselves as the other suite was not booked. The suite was huge, well equipped with a coffee machine, plates, cups, and glasses. Tea, coffee, and sugar at disposal. The beds were super comfy and the huge sofa was awesome to wait for the northern lights. The breakfast was delicious and very varied. I got addicted to their waffles. The receptionist was exceptional with us. He helped us with the ferry, explained how it worked, even assisted in planning a back-up itinerary in case we didn’t get it. They also arranged an early breakfast, as we had to leave at 7:30, so they opened the restaurant one hour earlier just for us. We really had an exceptional stay. We’ve read somewhere that the owners have changed and I can vouch that all the previous bad reviews that were written about that place do not reflect the reality now and the amazing experience we had. One thing to be aware of: only the executive suites have access to the hot tub, and only the suite nbr 2 has a view on the forest.Guest review byMYRIAMFrance

Lovely small city, buses are fantastic.
Lovely small city, buses are fantastic. Not a lot to do there wouldn’t stay more than 3 days. Airport signage not good, public bus pickup point was unlit and scary to be at at nighttime. AirPort Express bus doesn’t have enough buses on at night.Guest review byMaree - 10.0

Pretty city in an amazing environment. We stayed here on a Sunday so everything was unfortunately closed besides the bar and turist shops. I would have loved to explore more both in and around the city !Guest review byAnonymousDenmark - 10.0

Bodø isnt a common or popular tourist destination for most visitors to Norway but it has a lot to offer, from restaurants, beaches, nature hikes and excursions, northern lights, and of course not to forget Saltstraumen. It is colder than other cities in Norway as it is the windiest city in Norway, so be prepared for that.Guest review byMax - 10.0
Beautiful home and the perfect amount of space for a group...
Beautiful home and the perfect amount of space for a group of 5 friends travelling together. Location was wonderful and several steps away from a grocery store (Coop). Kitchen was fully functional and a cozy living room to unwind in. Thank you for a wonderful stay!Guest review byJannica87Canada - 10.0
A gateway to other areas like Lofoten.
A gateway to other areas like Lofoten. My recommendation is to stay further afield to the full extent you can. as things like quiet, darkness and views all improve a lot away from the airport. And once you do... it can be magic.Guest review byPeterNew Zealand - 8.0
We loved the beauty of the city.
We loved the beauty of the city. Tourist information staff were very friendly and helpful with information for sightseeing. War museum is excellently presented. Gondola ride to the top of Narvikfjellet is a must to see the beautiful sights from above Buses were easy to use and the plenty of shopping centres. We loved all the memorial statues, a beautiful city. We also took a ride on the Arctic Train, suggest this is a day time trip to see the amazing scenery.Guest review byChezAustralia - 10.0

We chose Alta, the City of Northern Lights, to "Hunt the Aurora Borealis". We were NOT disappointed. It was a magical experience. Lots of beautiful northern lights shows. We did a number of activities: night time horse drawn sleigh ride and dinner; king crab fishing experience; tour of the Ice Hotel at Sorrisniva; dog sled ride at Holmen Husky. We stayed at a canvas dome in GLOD, with the most amazing guide to see the Northern Lights. We stayed in a forest suite at Holmen Husky. The place was incredible and the way they treat the dogs will completely change your thoughts on the sport of dog sledding. They were the sweetest and happiest dogs I've ever seen. We stayed at Flatmoen Natur Lodge, which is a family owned and ran farm. Each lodge has their own private, outdoor jacuzzi so you can sit outside while the snow is falling or hope to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.Guest review bycmayes80United States - 10.0

The central location of Leknes on the Lofoten Islands was great for exploring the south and north. Shopping and dining were within walking distance of the apartment. I had a tasty fish and chips at the Diggs restaurant. The Bunpass grocery store had a lot to offer, and they had the best cinnamon rolls!Guest review byTeacher90Switzerland - 10.0

Tromsø is an amazing city; it’s known for being at great place to catch the northern lights but it’s also got lots of culture and flavor. For a smaller city, it’s got ample bars, festivals, restaurants, and easily accessible nature, that make it outrival many big cities. Catch a football game, hike a mountain, or drink beer from the world’s northernmost brewery while you’re waiting for the aurora :)Guest review byAnonymous
