A lovely quiet little town to experience the snow and visit the North Cape on a tour. We arrived at 6am by ship & allowed us to check in on arrival & up graded us to a harbour view as we were staying for 3 nights. We had an early departure by ship so they provided us with a breakfast box which was delicious.

We particularly liked the personnel - kind and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor, near the reception. Spacious, good internet access and we had the car parked just outside the window. Good and assorted breakfast is served in a large restaurant in the reception area, with large windows and a great view towards the mountains. There is an approximately half an hour drive to the Nordkapp.

Amazing location in a small fishermans' village on the shores of a Norwegian fjord, we stopped there for one night with a friend on our way to Nordkapp and we loved the atmosphere - too bad we were there only for one night! Kind and welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast and a lot of choice for dinner, recommended!!

It's almost end of the world but don't be surprised because for the very reasonable price you get: - very nice lodge, - efficient heating in winter, - fully equipped kitchen (incl. dishwasher and coffee maker), - WiFi faster than mine at home, - TV with Android TV and Chromecast, - wonderful views and landscapes, - easy access to Nordkapp (only 15 km).

Can't really find any negatives for this place.

Can't really find any negatives for this place. The locals are very friendly, the streets are clean, the scenery is stunning and best of all its only about 35 minutes drive to Norkapp. If you are visiting we would 100% recommend booking a trip to Norkapp. Its a fascinating place...the top of Europe!!. We flew in, stayed 3 nights then departed on a fjord cruise. Well worth every penny. We decided to take a walk one morning, its obviously very hilly but not too taxing. Its about 5 miles to completely encircle the town though that did include a few detours for the sake of photos. There is a restaurant close to the Norkapp museum called The Corner. The food, welcome and service were second to none. Totally recommend it to any visitors. Well that's my opinion of Honningsvag, visit yourself and see what you think.

Everyone seems to be profiting from the proximity to Nordkapp, which lowers the overall experience of an otherwise nice town at the edge of Europe. Many cruise ships that dock in the port release heaps of tourists into the town every day, which makes it feel more like a centre of some large city, not a town of 2500 inhabitants.
