SwedenReally nice studio. Stayed in the upper floor . Facing west side of the sky I watched the Aurora dancing from the sofa of the living room. Excellent breakfast buffet as well. Tried the Hot tub completely value for money although the water temperature was around 35 ( Would be better if it around 40 , not complaining though) .
The property also has lots of parking spaces with Electrical charging . Overall a 10/10 stay.

This was a last minute booking when we were caught with a snow storm and our car went into a ditch.
We managed to snag a holiday home for 2 nights in December 2024.
The home faces the sea and fjord , it was stunning even if it is only 3h of daylight.
Every holiday home is ideally placed to get the best view.
Kitchen is well equipped you can cook up anything there.
We appreciated the attentive and well mannered staff they were kind and never impatient with us.
Our heater tripped in the night and they came to repair it immediately on realising it - no direct communication with the concierge at the main hotel so we had to walk to the main hotel in the snow (we enjoyed the walk though - no cars and the landscape with cottages were beautiful anyway)
We built snow men at our private terrace and we had the entire large living space to ourselves. It was luxurious.
Tip: there is a professional (or family run - depending on how you look at it) husky ride facility called “Into Nature” just 5 minutes away. We went there , they were the absolute highlight activity of our entire Scandinavian trip. Quentin was a great host very informative and friendly. The dogs were well cared for and happy and obedient. The landscape they run the husky ride is out of a fairy tale - try them!

Nice apartment with 3 bedrooms in a ex-fishing village, where tradition is combinate with modernity. The apartment, especially the living room, was cozy, with a really nice view on the fjord. The bedrooms have minimal furniture, but for us was ok. Equipped kitchen.
The ex-rorbuer is situated on a beautiful location in Senja. A small village, great for hiking and walking (fishing) to the sea. We walked on Knuten Trail Head (views to Mefjord port and two small lakes at the foot on the mountains), Hike Fjordgard (beautiful views on Segla peak and fjords from Hesten peak) and Husfjellet Trekking (beautiful views on fjords from Husfjellet peak).
Restaurant nice in location, make sure to reserve your place.
Friendly staff.

Breakfast is super duper delicious. I got a room in good location. I could see the sea view from window. I travelled alone and the was quite large and clean. I visited Norway in winter season and my all clothes got wet, so I could dry them in bathroom. This is benefit for having own room, not share bed and bathroom with anyone. If you arrive hotel after 10 p.m., you have to ring the bell and receptionist will open the gate for you because the front gate where share with hospital gate

The hotel is centrally located and easy to find.The rooms are very comfortable and warm.The staff are friendly and helpful.I particularly appreciated the communal area downstairs which was like a cafe with tea,coffee ,soft drinks and water on tap 24 hrs.There was even a microwave to warm up food.In addition ,the breakfast buffet offered a spectacular variety of fresh foods,hot and cold to choose from.Highly recommended.

Perfect location. The hotel is opposite a ferry terminal and located in the center of Tromso city. I could access most of the significant sites by walking.
The building is modern in design. There is a Sky Bar on the top floor, and the gin and tonic was good. The breakfast was also lovely. If you are a tourist visiting Tromso for the first time, staying at this hotel is one of the best choices.

Firstly the location is superb cos its besides the jetty. You have a beautiful scenic view of the hotels & boats reflecting on the water. Like a piece of art whenever you look out of your window. The staff really gives you the best advice of where to eat & sightseeing. Many tours you can enjoy in Tromso.

Amazing views of the fjord! The food was delicious and the barn restaurant beautiful! Our suite room was gorgeous and modern. We went on a Northern lights tour with staff and went xx skiing and snowshoeing. We saw the northern lights dancing and will never forget it!

We chose this hotel because of the price-we were not disappointed. Very good standard, hotel in the centre. You can check in at any time using the code they send you on booking. Parking under the hotel, paid at the parking meter, but at night it is not necessary :)

Sensational! Great Hotel.
Sensational! Great Hotel. Good location. 5mins from airport by car, bus, or taxi. Good transportation- Brilliant Bus Network. Main Capital was really nice, had everything! Food, culture, modern, historical, fashion, shops. Found people very friendly, whether in shops or general public. Sightseeing was brilliant and there was so much more that we didn’t even do. Something for everyone!
Definitely going to go back in the summertime just to see the contrast! And the Northern Lights made the Complete

A gateway to other areas like Lofoten. My recommendation is to stay further afield to the full extent you can. as things like quiet, darkness and views all improve a lot away from the airport.
And once you do... it can be magic.

Nice place for a short stay.
Nice place for a short stay. Without a car you run out of options quickly. Smaller hiking trips and ski tours possible in the valley. Northern lights possible when there is no midnight sun. No supermarket in the village.

Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to explore it. Sunshine is a rarity. End of season mid August. Place for camper vans to park. One shop and one cafe. You can buy only beer in a shop, no alcohol. For a harder spirits you need to travel to Tromso. Bring your food if you can, shops sells very simple and not very good staff. More or less decent meal you can have in an arctic hotel, which is pricey and just ok, no more, choice is limited.

The price was too high for the poor accommodation we had during our stay in the lodge: the apartment we booked was not available at our arrive and they move us to a cabin with old furniture, that it looked like it hadn't been cleaned well, the terrace was partially occupied by old furniture. We had the impression to be in a location very good during the Summer time, but not yet ready to welcome customers in April-May: the apartment we booked should have been definitively more comfortable and with better spaces then the one the move us, considering the rate we paid for our stay! We will not recommend this accommodation to others!

I enjoyed the amazing views as well as the peaceful environment. The apartment was neat and had everything I needed.
The bus ride into town was a great way to see more of Tromso even though it was 30 minutes each way. I loved it.

Lovely small city, buses are fantastic. Not a lot to do there wouldn’t stay more than 3 days. Airport signage not good, public bus pickup point was unlit and scary to be at at nighttime. AirPort Express bus doesn’t have enough buses on at night.

The city itself is not necessarily special or historic (though some bits are) but the area around the city has some great scenic walks and of course the outlook across the sea/bay is stunning at any time of year, but particularly in the blue hour of the winter days. Lots of buses run regularly to outlying areas and there are fast buses to the airport to connect with flight check-in times. Take a walk along Stien langs sjøen (path along the shore) to the Trondenes Historical Museum (great wee cafe there) and the Adolf cannon from WW2.

The cabin we stayed in was roomy, wonderfully provisioned, and exceptionally clean. The restaurant offers a full-selection breakfast buffet and a full-service dinner that includes a selection of regional fish deliciously prepared. The village is quaint and charming and has several local, short hikes that are walking distance from the hotel. We loved everything about our stay and hope to return someday to see the Northern Lights!

Tromsø is an amazing city; it’s known for being at great place to catch the northern lights but it’s also got lots of culture and flavor. For a smaller city, it’s got ample bars, festivals, restaurants, and easily accessible nature, that make it outrival many big cities. Catch a football game, hike a mountain, or drink beer from the world’s northernmost brewery while you’re waiting for the aurora :)
