A cow feeding haven 20 minutes from Hobbits with everything you need. Cold water, milk, cereals, DVDs, fresh vegetables picked from the garden, magazines, countless pillows and blankets, a bed warmer, shampoo, conditioner, windows to open with insect screens. Even gluten free bread on request. We couldn't have been happier and the kids loved feeding the cow with carrots. I was fascinated that treadmills for horses exist!

Location was actually great for me as it was close to town centre, which enabled me to pick up all the bits and pieces I needed for an awards dinner I was helping to organise during my stay in Cambridge. Margaret's breakfast was just what I needed as a single guest staying, with fruit, toast, yoghurt and feijoas provided! Room was lovely and quiet.

The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with food and with kitchen ware. Our host Andria looked after us as if we were close family. This beautiful house is surrounded by the most wonderful garden....the roses were in bloom and the colours were breathtaking.

Exceptional stay from the beautiful grounds, plenty of out door seating, koi pond and hot tub to the immaculate and well appropriated room, kitchen and large bathroom, plus hostess Megan was superb with local recommendations, loved Sanctuary Mountain which we would not have known about. Being right across from Lake Karpiro for the International Dragon Boat Festival was the best!!! Also perfect if you have two couples as there were two separate rooms available.

Cambridge is the most well laid out town centre, with easy free parking, respectful drivers of pedestrians on crossings. It has a great variety of cafes, restaurants and shopping for all ages. My number one town to visit

A great place to base yourself to explore the Waikato.

A great place to base yourself to explore the Waikato. Close to Mt Pirongia, Sanctuary Mountain, Lake Karapiro, Lake Arapuni, Waitomo Caves. And not too far away are Hobbiton, Blue Spring, Hamilton Gardens (which are mind blowing). Rose Gardens and Walk of Fame are just by the Information Centre, along with a fantastic children playground, one of the best I've seen anywhere. Great little op shops too if you enjoy a browse.

It was a nice rural setting, however it was a bit too far from shops and cafes. The property was unclean and facilities were poor. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. We stayed for one night and that was enough.

This is out in the country, 8 ks from Ohaupo and 13 ks from Cambridge. We stay in this area as it is close to a rest home in Ohaupo where my wife's brother is in care. The name of Kaipaki would be unknown to most travelers in NZ

Cambridge is a beautiful town. Growing larger but retains its lovely main street with good angle parking and a roomy pull out lane. Love the many shops and good places to eat. Many side streets to explore and the lake is a beautiful place for a walk.

We visited for a private family function. So didn't have much time for sightseeing. The Thai restaurant Lemon Grass we had dinner at on the evening of our arrival was very good. The town very easy to drive around and find supermarkets. We didn't really have time to do anything else Our accommodation the Black Horse Inn was excellent and would definitely stay again.

A great stopover point if travelling long distances in the north island. We usually stay in Hamilton, but Karapiro has beautiful scenery, peace and serenity and just a short drive from Cambridge for restaurants, shops and petrol.

What a beautiful place to stay...totally recommend this ... the room was just beautiful...like a luxury hotel. The bed was amazing...best nights sleep in a hotel ever! Lovely homemade shortbread to go with our coffee. Plenty of parking. We drove to the Propeller Restaurant and Bar at the Hamilton Airport for a meal....not far and was well worth it...beautiful meal and service. Breakfast was awesome and hosts just lovely. Would definitely come back one day.

Some young people on the street at night (young white males ) whose attitude towards me was rather mocking of an older person. This was about 10.45 at night. I come from Auckland. Cambridge is not a place I would feel safe walking the streets at night. Visitors beware. I don't feel like this when walking the streets at night in Auckland at that time. The town hall is beautiful
