I did the tree top walk and zip line. Excellent experience made even better by excellent staff. Also did the Hokitika gorge. Well worth the extra distance you have to drive. Would definitely recommend the Kaniere WaterRace Walkway. Hokitika is really easy to get around. Nice and clean, Thankyou🌻

It's looking tired. Monteith's Brewery has a good vibe. A lot of history with Greymouth. A lot could be done with the older buildings with some investment. Shantytown is an interesting look at the history of yesteryear, but it needs some serious refurbishment. The people working there are lovely.

We didn’t go into the town of Haast, but were just outside, on the road to Jackson Bay. After the crowds and bustle of other towns, Haast Beach was a welcome change. If you like expansive, empty beaches, with great walkability and rock collecting, this is the experience for you.

The Pancake Rocks is a must to see.

The Pancake Rocks is a must to see. Pathways and viewing stations wonderfully laid out with the stone walls and the natural landscaping. Fantastic views from so many angles and advantage points. The day we were there the sea was coming in strong and fierce so we saw the holes blow and the sea water spraying up.

Suzanne the owner was so lovely and bent over backwards to help us. We had a lot of washg and she was happy for us to use her facilities. She recommended to us a lovely place to have dinner right by beach, but unfortunately was closed that night so went into town. The unit we stayed in was lovely, very tasteful, very comfortable with everything we needed. We wd totally recommend this place to others, and if we are ever in Westport again wd want to stay there.
