Love this place! Clean, spacious, property seems fairly new and well managed. Had a great night sleep, the bed was very comfortable and seems to be in a quiet area, but still just a few min walk to the center. The owner/manager was also very kind and helpful. I would stay longer but unfortunately it was already fully booked.

You're promised a true taste of luxury at this resort - and it delivers 👌 We had a relaxing and refreshing stay at this resort. The staff are friendly and eager to help. The rooms are comfortable and classy. We fell in love with the comfort of the bed. You're only a minute away from the beach, and the pools are to die for. You have options between adult and kid pools. You can rotate between pools and never get bored. The best views are from the main adult only pools where you get to see the skyline and the ocean. The sunsets at Alona Beach are popular for a reason - it does get crowded on the beach, but it's worth it. Breakfast buffets are good. While the range isn't massive, the taste is delicious - especially the sweets! The in room dining experience and quality is top notch. My favorite highlight was enjoying the in-pool walk up bar and just cooling down in the pools.

I love everything in this hotel! Superb facilities and very accommodating staff they even surprised me on my birthday, touché with the efforts. The food was great and the room was very comfortable.. i really had the best vacation in Bohol! If you are looking for a comporting and serene and peaceful place far from noise and crowds, i recommend Bohol South Beach Hotel! 101% price is reasonable and you pay what you deserve. The wifi connection was very fast.. and it has an inside bar. They served food at the rooftop, you got to see the entire beach, its very cozy. It is located at the beachfront too, far from crowded Alona Beach. I awe you all (the staff) for the efforts on my advance bday celebration stay in your hotel! Love love love! We fall in love everyday! Thank youuuu!

The whole team at BE Grand made our stay so enjoyable. From pick-up at the airport, check-in in our villa, accommodating personalised requests, nightly sweet treats for us to enjoy in our villa and smiles from everyone around the resort. We could not fault Neil (our butler) along with Darel (another butler), Kevin (F&B) were superb. Our thanks also goes to Ms Kathy (Front of House Manager). This was our second time visiting Amarela to celebrate our honeymoon, we spent 10 days here. The staff were amazing, beyond the beautiful surrounds - private beach, pool and art museum. We are most happy with the staff, they bent over backwards to ensure we could enjoy vegan meals and we are so grateful! What we enjoyed during our stay was the peace and quiet and spending our time in the beautiful spaces that the staff continuously maintain. We will always come back to Amarela whenever we visit the Philippines!

Very nice and quiet place, perfect hotel to escape all the noise and relax. Breakfast was nice, hotel restaurant serves delicious food. WiFi works well; gym has a beautiful view and has enough equipment to get a workout in; spa was great and very good pricing; game room is also located in a nice place - beautiful views while playing some games. All the area is looked after and very green. Cave was a nice experience. Tennis court is well looked after. We loved our stay and wish we stayed a bit longer.

I like the people of Panglao and the places.

I like the people of Panglao and the places. We feel at home away from real home.Feeling of confident walking in the roads and markets.Specially the beaches..My family love the Alona ambiance.And been to Moadto Strip which has a nice free beach.And for our transportation we always book for Romelle and Edzel recommended by Nilo the property manager.

Bohol is an incredibly beautiful destination, and I would love to come back and explore more of what it has to offer. It's not just the stunning beaches — the hills, mountains, and natural scenery are equally breathtaking. Unfortunately, our stay was quite short, and the inclement weather limited our plans even more. We didn’t get to fully experience everything, but what we saw left a lasting impression. We’re definitely planning to return — there's so much more to discover in this amazing place.

Really recommend Bohol Farm!

Really recommend Bohol Farm! Their ice cream is incredible, and the food is great too. We got a tour of the farm, which was super nice. Getting around is quite easy, there are three main road that go around the island, and there are tuktuks for hire everywhere. I rented a moped, which actually felt quite safe, as there were few big cars. Alona beach is definitely worth a visit. I'd recommend doing a countryside tour too, to see a lot of the sights of Bohol in one day.

It's less crowded place compared to other popular islands in the Philippines, that makes it more relaxing. Snorkling at napaling Reef was amazing. It's a must do. The mountainside tour is also recommended. ATV ride in the mud was the most enjoyable. We had a tour from panglao to oslob. It's almost 9 hours tour but mostly traveling. It's tiring and I would say it's not worth the 30mins swim with the whale shark. Panglao is very popular for diving. A lot of people come here to learn/ to do scuba dive. The reefs and the variety of sea life were amazing, we even saw sea turtles and sea snake. 😍

You can get enough of the non-oceanic tourist attractions in 2 days. The snorkeling is why I love it. You need to go to a Marine Sanctuary for the good snorkeling, although a few resorts have decent house reefs. DON'T go on one of the snorkeling/island hopping tours which are promoted at many places, especially by hawkers at Alona Beach. None of the boat motors have mufflers. They will leave you at a substandard restaurant on Balicasag Island for an outrageous length of time. Tag along on a dive boat, which you can arrange at most dive shops.
