What should I give them - 12, 20 or what?". It is really a very special, cozy, well-kept and loved place. We were visiting out of season, so it seems ours was the only occupied cottage. Such serenity, peace, fresh air. The territory is spacious, our cottage was so nicely equipped, nicely smelling. Each detail is well planned and taken care of. Breakfast is great, coffee (and coffee machine) is nice. All the people working here - super friendly and warm. We also lit fire in the fireplace each evening - that's so cozy & great. Also there’s a lot of prepared information about the area (where to eat, what to see) in the room. The location was perfect for us. Breakfast was worth the price. Had a restaurant if you needed a hot meal on the premises. Close to an Aldi as well as a coin laundromat. Aveiro is a great place with plenty to see and do. Many lovely places to eat and drink. We stayed for 10 days but I think 7 would have been enough. Must not miss a visit to Costa Nova with the gorgeous coloured houses, also a boat ride is a must. Liked the history, culture and compact nature for getting around. The walled town and Obidos castle were highlights. Lots of little outdoor cafes and restaurants to choose from. The town is definitely geared up for tourists but it is certainly seasonal. Out of season there is not much to do there. There are a huge number of camper vans and RVs around the parking areas along the beach roads, because of the surfing. We loved this city. It’s not tourist-packed town and it’s a perfect size, with lovely parks and nice shops and restaurants. People better are kind. That will help you with any language barriers if you’re patient. We enjoyed a nice ramen dinner nearby. Prices are reasonable in the city. If Viseu was near the ocean I would've moved there inmediately. Lovely streets to wander around, parks and local shops and restaurants. Lovely architecture to admire and just love the ambience.
