Staying at The Social Hub Porto is always a treat—its playful interior and laid-back vibe perfectly match my mood in a city as vibrant as this. After exploring Porto on foot and staying in three different locations, I can confidently say this is my favorite spot. It's super central—just steps from main squares, lively streets, the train station, and a short downhill stroll to the Douro River. We lucked out with a room in the iconic curved façade, complete with big windows looking out over the street—absolutely gorgeous. The hotel itself is full of great amenities, but the rooftop bar and pool are the real cherry on top. Whether it’s morning coffee or an afternoon cooldown, it’s the perfect place to chill, recharge, or simply enjoy the view. With Porto’s amazing brunch scene just outside the door, we skipped the hotel breakfast and embraced the motto hanging on the flag in every room: "Let's stay in"—unless it's for pancakes. Next time I’m in Porto, I’ll be checking TSH availability first—no question about it.

Loved the location, loved the size, style and comfort of the room. Beautiful view from the room. The staff was extremely helpful! I handed them a list and said this is what I want to see, what’s the best way to do it. They pulled out a convenient map and circled all the attractions I wanted and mapped out the best route. It worked so well that we saw 90% of what we wanted in one day. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed really comfortable! I would stay there again if I was coming back to Porto!

    Pet friendly accomodation was our key factor, also this feel of entire and fully equipped rural house gave a sense of how people live in this area. We got really hooked up by the chimney and setting up the fireplace. It's very remote from everything surrounded by the mountains. There is a bakery in the nearby Rouças village which is the only place where it's possible to buy bread. Everything else needs to purchased before coming here.

    Best experience I had staying in a hotel, I can't wait to come back. Everything was perfect and the hotel itself is so beautiful. The room was very spacious, comfortable, they even offer you a pillow menu so you can be as comfortable as possible. Every night they leave a tea table ready for you.     Intertesting port town with a huge monastery on top of a hill. Loved the restaurants and it is easy to drive to other areas of Northern Portugal from there. The weather was comfortable, too. Be sure to bring Euros for tram ride to monastery. We went there to rest and relax between our Spain and Portugal tours.

    A small city north of Porto, with a lot of history and attractions. Plenty of shops, cafes, old churches, and restaurants, but the bar scene is lacking. There are many senior citizens here, since it's one of the more affordable and lovable parts of Portugal. I like kebab restaurants, but otherwise cooked for myself in hostel kitchens.

    This small city was an absolute gem - stunning ancient squares and streets filled with lovely cafes and restaurants, altogether not as touristy as it could have been and very easy to walk around. We dined in two of the main squares with traditional Portuguese cuisine and inexpensive wines, and lovely ice cream outlets. We took the cablecar up the hillside and walked back down. We visited the Ducal palace (fantastic reconstruction) and castle (ruin). We could easily have spent a week here relaxing and taking in the atmosphere. And very easy to reach from Oporto.

Surprised by the obvious wealth amongst the Portuguese people with holiday homes here. Very few estrangers. Not for sailors. Good for families.     good selection of food places, nice beach and when the sun shines cant go wrong really. Slightly disappointed the surf was not bigger and its a bit crowded for comfortable surfing. nice for a swim though !

    This place gets a well-deserved 5 stars—no doubt about it! From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, cozy, and totally like home. It’s huge, sparkling clean, and honestly… it looks even better than in the photos (and that’s saying something!). Usually with apartments that look this good, you think: “Yeah right, too good to be true.” But nope—this one actually turned out to be better than too good! It’s got everything. And I mean everything: coffee machine, iron, washing machine, dishwasher… you name it, it’s there—and all in tip-top shape. We were just the two of us, but there’s more than enough space for 4 or even 6 people to hang out comfortably. And the view… wow. Just wow. Need a room with a view? Look no further—this is the one!

    Vila do Conde is a charming town that is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of a large city, if that is what you are used to, or looking to get away from. There are many good restaurants in the area. We hired a car for the duration of our stay as we wanted to travel further afield whilst adding stops along the way and choosing the most scenic routes.
