Arad is a beautiful city.
Arad is a beautiful city. The city center has beautiful palaces and buildings primarily in the baroque style of architecture. We enjoyed the market and the variety of foods typically eaten in Romania. Arad is centrally located in western Romania which gave us the opportunity to take day trips to experience highlights like Transylvania’s Covin Castle (influenced Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula”), The Gardens of Zoe, Timisoara, Szeged (Hungary), and The Bear Cave in the Western Carpathian Mountains.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Arad is a charming city with excellent food and service, offering plenty of markets, bars, and restaurants to enjoy. It’s well-connected by transportation to other European cities, making it a great base for travel. A lot of renovated late 19th and early 20th century eclectic and art nouveau buildings in the center of the town (although if you are an art nouveau fan, Oradea is definitely a better choice).
