The pool area is open and has a great view the water was very nice and warm. The sauna also very good. They offer a massage also. The hotel has its own parking and you can rent a bike if you want free of charge. They also offer a local tours they are a great opportunity to visit the country side. On check in, we were advised of a voucher to attend the aqua centre for 3 hours, so a very relaxing time was enjoyed at the sauna facilities, also very clean! A dinner buffet at a very reasonable price was available; however we opted for a cosier small local spot in the village which was perfect. Definitely a three/four day trip but not a lot for 2 over 80’s to do. Most stuff geared to different sports…. which is fine if we had visited 20 years ago. Kranjska Gora is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts such as trail runners like us. We visited to run the UTMB Julian Alps in September so the atmosphere was buzzing. We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. Small town with a lot of historical buildings to see and stories to hear, also the tunnels built in the 2nd world war. There is beautiful nature in (rivers Kokra and Sava) and around it that you can visit. I was there two years in a row in September and each time we had a shorter option of a guided tour. Slovenia on the whole is one of the most beautiful countries we have been to. It was very lush and green and has beautiful mountains with little villages tucked away in between. WE love our visit to to Ljubljana, Lake Bled and Postojna caves!! The small village of Mojstrana is at the beginning of the climbing area for Triglav, and the place is amazing—calm and beautiful. Skofija Loka is a stunning medieval town surrounded by beautiful hills, forests and farmland. The castle perched above the town hosts the town museum and is well worth a visit. The old town features lots of beautiful buildings and small squares with cafes and shops. We ate out twice, once in a Balkan food specialist called Das ist Walter and once in a restaurant near Stara Loka called Inglic. Both were excellent and good value for money. The cafe bar Homen in the centre was also very good for cakes and coffee with exceptional, friendly staff. We also enjoyed two long hikes in the surrounding hills. Great place to visit. Plenty of bars/restaurants in town. Probably 3-4 days enough if you just want to relax by the lake and in town. Longer if you're going to do some of the many trips/activities available - ziplining, canyoning, rafting. I'd recommend the canyoning and zipline.
