Of the three different hotels we stayed in during our trip to Thailand, this was by far our favourite. The rooms were clean and everything functioned properly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The pool area is so beautiful and the poolside food and beverage service was excellent. We loved the sky bar too. The view was amazing. The location is steps away from the Night Bazaar which was a fun nightly activity to get dinner and shop.

We were given a beautiful large studio overlooking the two pools with views to the mountains. Great buffet breakfast included in very reasonable price - including custom-made omelets made to order - stayed 8 nights and enjoyed our very quiet and comfortable room. Outside 100 yards away is our favorite Italian restaurant Antonio's, and the major street Chan Klan leading to the famous Night Bazaar. Post office and many other services located nearby in walking distance, and transport by taxi or private car or tuk-tuk easily arranged. Really great value!

A fantastic retreat by the river, about an hour from Chiang Mai. Various bungalows with garden or river views—we chose one by the river with a shared pool, offering a peaceful stay. The large main pool by the restaurant has never been crowded either. Breakfast is well-arranged with local, Asian, and Western options, and the restaurant is great for all meals. Best of all, it’s close to elephant camps for walking, bathing, and riding—highly recommended

The room was nice and spacious with a big comfortable bed. The fitness center was spacious, with a good amount of equipment than most hotels or resorts I've been to.

We recently visited Chiang Mai and had a great time.

We recently visited Chiang Mai and had a great time. Mid Sept is still off season and occasional rains but its not a spoiler at all. Awesome places to eat and shop. Weekend visit is recommended as lots of markets are only on weekends so can take advantage of that. Amazing Vegetable and fruit markets. Would be great to take a Airbnb and cook a nice meal while there. We visited Thaphae Gate, Jingjai Market, Wat Phra Singh, Wat lok Moli to name a few and they were all good. We recommend Siam Bike rentals for good deals for Bikes. We stayed at Jonah hotel and it was great value for money. Eating places Bodhi Cafe , Khoi Soi Mesai and Coconut shell restaurant to name a few. The night market near Marriott Hotel is a must visit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.

I was truly impressed — the people of Chiang Mai are so kind and friendly! Driving here was a breeze; motorists are considerate, the roads are easy to navigate, and the city planning and traffic management are excellent. (That’s coming from someone born and raised in Phuket 😅). Tourist attractions are well-organized with staff ready to assist visitors. Nature, architecture, and historical sites are all very well taken care of. Everything feels thoughtfully planned and systematic. Now I fully understand why people here proudly say their city is better in many ways — because it really is! I honestly agree. There was never a moment of confusion or frustration. Prices for goods, food, and entrance fees were all reasonable. And for coffee lovers — Chiang Mai is absolute heaven! Highlights of the trip Favorite experience: Everywhere on Doi Inthanon (I fell in love!) Best coffee: Hmong Village Café, Doi Pui (so aromatic and smooth) Most photogenic spot: Kao Mai Lanna (lush greenery against brick walls — stunning!) Best meal: Huen Muan Jai (delicious and very reasonably priced!) In summary: I’ll definitely be back. Next time, Mae Kampong is a must!

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.

    The cool & freezing weather.

The cool & freezing weather. Must stay here for atleast one night if you have a trip to Chiang Mai. Experience the beautiful flower farm and walking distance. You will appreciate the morning fresh air & cool cloudy fog if you dont mind walking to the flower farm nearby within 15min walk . For Muslim, even though it is only one restaurant that offer halal food , but the taste was worth the price. Will repeat next time if i travel to Chiang Mai.
