We stayed at the Khao Lak Marriot on an opening deal and were incredible impressed to say the hotel hadn't even been open for a month. The staff were all superb and each restaurant offers something different. We loved the vast beach at the property and the adult only pool was a very welcomed amenity.

Amazing buffet breakfast - fantastic selection and delicious. Very good wait staff, nice atmosphere and relaxed. Beautiful rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious, very nicely finished, clean and modern. Very nice, luxurious toiletries provided (Marlin & Goetz). Excellent housekeeping services. Beautiful clean beach, multiple pools and multiple restaurants - the pizza oven by the kids play pool was a favourite! Great kids and teens club with different activities and fun games. Gardens are beautifully maintained and bit of fun to see the chickens, ducks, turtle and rabbits.

We had the most incredible time at Cape Pakarang Wow! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the serene atmosphere and the beautifully maintained property. Our accommodations were not only stylish and comfortable but also felt like a luxurious home away from home. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, ensuring we had everything we needed and providing helpful recommendations for local activities and dining. One highlight of our trip was dining at the nearby Malamar Restaurant—an absolute must-visit for its exceptional food and welcoming ambiance. The location is perfect—secluded enough to feel like a private paradise but close enough to explore the surrounding areas with ease. We also appreciated the small thoughtful touches, like welcome treats and personalized service. We cannot recommend Cape Pakarang Wow highly enough. It’s truly a gem and the perfect place to relax and recharge. We’re already planning our return trip!

    Mai Khao Lak is simply fabulous—there’s no other way to put it! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by this beautiful resort. While it is a bit removed from central Khao Lak, the feeling of isolation is far from a downside. It’s a peaceful retreat, and with central Khao Lak only a short 15-minute ride away, the resort’s shuttle service makes it easy to stay connected (just remember to book your spot in advance). Despite the resort's large size, it remains quiet and uncrowded. Each block is designed with its own spacious pool, so you’ll never feel like you’re competing for space. The variety of on-site restaurants is a highlight, offering a wide selection of dishes to cater to every taste. The buffet breakfast is great for adults but even better for kids offering heaps of kid-friendly options. There's local dining along the beach. These spots serve up delicious, authentic food, and you’ll also find laundry services at an affordable 80 Baht per kilo. Massages also available. We had 2ad, 3ch and booked two rooms: one pool access room and one deluxe room. The resort did an excellent job of accommodating our request to have the rooms close together. The pool access room great, with direct access to the pool from the small decked seated area outside the room. There are also adult only areas with poolside bars and secluded, quiet areas. The staff at Mai Khao Lak are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, they made our stay effortless and enjoyable, their customer service 5 stars! We initially thought khao lak was too quiet, however there is so much to do if you research your trip. we found Facebook groups helpful for ideas, recommendations, and even booking private drivers. This made exploring the area easy and stress-free. Overall, Mai Khao Lak is a perfect getaway for families or couples seeking a peaceful, luxurious retreat with plenty of amenities and activities. Our experience was excellent, and we would happily stay here again!

    Beautiful hotel, with incredibly attentive staff. Without us even asking, they gave us a room just by the pool, so it would be comfortable for our kids to enjoy! They also provided a baby cot with a pink covers as they understood we have a baby girl, who was obviously so happy! The breakfast is great and an Italian restaurant that is within the hotel has a delicious spaghetti alle vongole and pizza. If we ever come back to Khao Lak, we know where we will be staying! Great location also for a walk with a lot of shops and restaurants around; beautiful beach instead is not even 10min walk.

    This hotel and its staff was absolutely fantastic. The room was lovely and spacious for a family of four and the beds were extremely comfortable. The room was quiet with great air con. Had everything you need. Kettle tea coffee etc. and the bathroom was fully stocked. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Free loungers at the beach for hotel guests. The pool was also lovely. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

    Great hotel in beautiful location. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. We had a beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. The room was great and very clean. The breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruit and Thai dishes. The location was a little further away from Khao Lak center than expected but we had the whole beach to ourselves most days. It’s easy to get to the center or Ban Niang market by tuk tuk.

    Not as busy as Phuket, less people but lots of restaurants with reasonable prices. Very family orientated, no night clubs & pole dancing girly bars. Khao Lak is what Phuket was 30 years ago but is becoming more popular.
